"Latte for Y/n" the barista called out and I went up to get my piping hot goodness, I was about to take a sip from it as I was making my way out of the coffee house until I heard.
"Y/n Y/l/n" I looked to see my high school crush and friend. It was a very long story.
"Maddy Perez" I mirrored the huge smile she had on her face as she brought me in for a hug "it's been forever" I said shocked. I won't lie I missed her a lot since she left "how long have you been back from Australia" I asked.
"I only got here about three days ago" she smiled and squealed as she hugged me again "I missed you so much" she let go of me.
"I missed you too Mads, how long are you here for" she shrugged her shoulders.
"Just for a month" her eyes then lit up with joy "actually I'm having a little get together seeing as I'm back, you wanna come" she offered but I hesitated due to the fact that I'm staying so late in work and I have to be there so early tomorrow.
"Come on Y/n/n" half of our high school friends will be there" she tried persuading me "it'll be so fun and cute" I chuckled.
"Okay why not, screw my job and all that" she laughed.
"Perfect it's gonna be at my old house, you remember or are you too work oriented to remember" she laughed and I shook my head joining in on her laugher.
"Don't worry I remember Mads".
"Here are them documents you wanted" I placed on Miss Grandes desk "oh and John Mayer was wondering if he could get a meeting with you on the seventh" she furrowed her eyebrows as she then went to her planner.
"That's perfect, I'm free that day" she then looked at me "you seem rather" she paused "jumpy and full of joy" she smiled "what's the occasion".
"Well I'm meeting up with a couple of old friends tonight" I was actually more excited then I was when Maddy first told me "I'm happy to be heading home now".
"Have a good night Miss Y/l/n but not too good, I need you in one piece tomorrow" she playfully joked with me.
"You took your sweet time" Maddy opened the door.
"I had to work late Mads" I shoved her lightly "oh my god Nina" I shouted when I saw my old best friend.
"Y/n/n" she ran up and hugged me "it's been so long" she let go of me.
"What" I tried to gather my words "when have you been back from New York" she laughed.
"Literally like an hour ago" she squealed "I didn't know you were even coming".
"And I didn't know you were coming, Maddy" I turned to see her laughing.
"What I wanted to keep the little surprise, now drink" she pushed a bottle in my hand.
"Oh god" I said and I got to my desk "why did I do this" I looked at my reflection on my phone camera and it was evident that I was in fact out last night.
I got a text from Nina telling me that we had to do something and I couldn't of agreed with her more.
"Woah" Zendaya said at the door of my office with two coffees in hand "what happened".
"I need that" I outstretched my hand to grab one of them "and an old friend reunion" I chuckled.
"At least President Grande won't be here till two" I nodded my head as I blew on my hot coffee "actually I need to ask you something Y/n" she had her eyebrows furrowed.
"Ask away Ze" I said just before I took a sip.
"You and Ariana" she paused "are very close" I chuckled.
