Farewell [ON HOLD AGAIN]

Chapter 2

Since Natsu woke up from his sleep, he's noticed that Lucy has been acting strange, I mean, after all, she could be troubled with their new relationship or something.

"Lucy?" Natsu looked at her and she flinched and closed the book she was reading.

"Y-Yeah?"

"Are you okay? You've been acting weird since this morning" Natsu looked at her worriedly.

"I-I'm fine, I was just--thinking of.." Lucy looked down as she thought of the dream again, Natsu stood up and approached Lucy, he kneeled down and looked up at her.

"If you have any trouble, just tell me, I might be able to help" Natsu smiles at her sadly and her face brightened up a bit.

"Thanks, Natsu"

Lucy was sneaking out of the guild, she had a letter in her hands, she ran to her apartment and placed the letter there, she then ran off somewhere else.

She may not have realised it, but Natsu saw her leaving the guild and followed her, though when he arrived at her apartment, she wasn't there anymore.

He found a letter by her desk and read it.

I'm sorry, but I've found out that I'll kill everybody in the future, I don't want that to happen, so I'm commiting suicide--

Natsu stopped reading the letter immidietly and ran, he could still smell her scent and followed it.

"LUCY!!"

Lucy was just another step away from the cliff, she was having second thoughts but Should I really do it? Is it for the best? Lucy looked at her hands sadly.

"Maybe...I shou-"

"Lucy!!!"

Lucy's eyes widened and she looked behind her, she saw Natsu running so fast like never before. Tears spilled out of her eyes, forgetting that there would always be someone there to help.

"Natsu.."

Natsu approached her and hugged her tightly, Lucy cried on his shoulder and hugged him back.

"Why would you..commit..suicide?" Natsu asked sadly.

"I was scared, b-but I forgot...I forgot...that there would always be someone...someone who'd help me no matter what.." Lucy cried harder on his shoulder, her grip on his clothes tightened and sniffled.

"I also forgot...about everyone's... everyone's feelings, and how they felt..if I ever-"

"Don't say the word."

Lucy let go of the hug and looked up at Natsu, to also see him crying hardly. Her face softened as tears fell down like waterfalls for both of them.

"I don't want hearing that word with you in the sentence, it pains me" Natsu hugged her tightly and Lucy didn't hug back, she was fine like this, letting him cry on her, and her feeling his warmth.

After Natsu and Lucy arrived in her apartment, he immidietly burned the letter.

"Now tell me, why'd you think you'd do such a thing?" Natsu sat cross legged infront of Lucy.

"I had a dream, I saw myself, killing everybody, and a voice spoke, she said;

Thats you in the future

You can't escape it

You'll kill all whom you love-

Truthfully, I've never been so scared in my entire life, even if it was just a dream"

"Did you ever think it was just fake? Or just a nightmare?" Natsu asked and looked at her worriedly.

"Yeah, that was in my mind all day, but maybe it was true, my mind went crazy" Lucy fist were slightly balled up.

"So I concluded; I'll live for the ones I love, I'll live for the ones who love me! But I'd rather die, if I was supposed to hurt them!; and decided, t

hat it would've been better if I-"

"I told you not to say it"

"Yeah, I know, I can't believe I even forgot about everyone, I'm such an idiot" Lucy's face was downcasted. Natsu stood up and hugged her.

"When I confessed to you, didn't you say that, you aren't a dense idiot?"

"W-Well yeah..but.."

"But?"

A small sigh came out of Lucy and she smiled at Natsu.

"I get it, I won't be depressed about it anymore, and I'll live my life to the fullest" Lucy smiled and hugged Natsu back.

"Great! Now cook me some dinner!" Natsu raised his fist in the air and grinned, Lucy just shook her head at his idiocy, but she was glad he was there.
