*Cough*

"Was this your plan all along, Felicity?"

"Of course."

Tanner, Mason, Zinc, and Mrs. Purple stood on the edge of the rooftop, watching as the flames from the money grew bigger and bigger.

"How the hell are we supposed to get all the way to LA when more reinforcements are coming?" Tanner asked.

"You think I really left you guys just to sit around and wait?"

After reaching into her purse, Mrs. Purple pulled out what looked to be a set of keys. She pressed a red button, and machinery sounded off from the opposite side of the rooftop. It was the helicopter pad.

Rising up from underneath was a black helicopter. Mrs. Purple pointed and looked back at the boys.

"Well, let's- *cough* go already!"

They ran against the wind to the other side, dodging through the rooftop greenhouse and breaking its glass. Then, they heard sounds from a megaphone.

"COME DOWN FROM THERE, DO NOT RESIST. We have the enemy on pursuit, black helicopter leaving the White House." A man in a police uniform barked through the device, and was accompanied by several more squads. A firetruck cleared way and people were rushing in and out of the mansion.

The group hopped into the helicopter as it was a convenient fit for four. Mrs. Purple struggled with the panel of buttons and gadgets, and was thrown onto the other side of the cockpit by-

"ZINC?!" Tanner, Mason, and Felicity exclaimed in unison.

"I haven't been much help yet, and I've flown a helicopter before. Buckle up, the winds are high today." The boy was quick to start the engine, and the rotor blades started increasing speed. Soon enough, the group was off the pad, right when a group of agents shot hooks up onto the landing gear, pulling the helicopter down.

"There's too many!" Mason cried.

"It's over.." Tanner weeped.

"Give me a second to check the dual tachometers, increase the rpm, and bring in the landing gear so that those hooks break off." After a few twists and pulls, the hooks were brought into the helicopter and snapped off. The speed of the rotor blades made everyone outside fly off to the sides.

"Liftoff, come on, is this a turbine engine?!" Zinc yelled. The others had their eyes closed. The fire was growing bigger and bigger.

"Evacuate!" said the leader with the megaphone. Firefighters were blasting water onto the White House.

The black helicopter finally lifted high into the air, the warmth of the fire was fading away and was met with the cool wind of the afternoon sky.

Mason opened an eye. "Zinc! You did it pal!"

"I studied hydraulics. That's not the only trick I have up my sleeve though."

They cut through the air and took a look down below. The White House, which now looked like an orange dot, was fading away. Tanner chuckled.

"Maybe you aren't a kid after all."

...

About 5 hours later they arrived in Los Angeles, California.

"Ahhh my favorite city!" said Mason cheerfully.

The group landed on top of a building made of bulletproof glass. They scurried out of the helicopter and made way towards the nearest elevator. Zinc pressed the down arrow button and they waited.
