Chapter 3

Mia's POV
It was now the day that me and Anna would be going to Brazil. I was so excited to leave all my sorrows behind and start my life again.
As I was packing the last few things, I remembered that I didn't have many sandals.

"Anna! I don't have any sandals!" I yelled.

"Don't worry we will be doing a lot of shopping there" She laughed.

I totally forgot about that. I wanted to look my best in case I meet any cute guys. I wonder if I see any of the famous footballers that play for Brazil. It was the World Cup, so maybe we go to watch some of the matches. I knew a little bit of Portuguese, my mum taught me it as she was part Brazillian.

"Come on hurry up Mia!" Anna said while standing near the door with her luggage. I struggled to get all of my stuff in the cab my I got it eventually. I hopped in near Anna and the can drove off to the airport. About 1 hour later we got into the airplane. It was my first time, I know it's hard to believe as I'm 20 now but I was never allowed to go anywhere. But now I'm free!

"Are you nervous?" Anna asked me.

"Not that much, I'm excited mostly!" I squealed quietly.

"That's good!" She said happily.

In the 10 hours, I played games on my phone, listened to music and watched some music on the tiny TV they provide us with. Oh also, we ate some lovely Brazilian foods!! I'm not sure what their names were but all I know is that they were very yummy.

"Come on let's go" Anna said when the plane landed.

"Yay let me get my carry on" I told her. She nodded.

As we reached the airport, we waited for our suitcases to come on the conveyor belt. I loved the conveyor belt for some weird reason haha.

Anna and I both collected our things and quickly got out of there because of some peculiar smell.

"Phew that stank!" I panted.

"Eww yeh that was disgusting" Anna agreed.

As our eyes scanned around the waiting room, we wondered who will be picking us up, then we saw a old looking man with a card in his hand which said Anna Monte. We walked up to the man and greeted him, he was very kind.

"Madam, your boss informed me that you will be going to a hotel is that right?" He politely asked.

"Yes thank you" Anna smiled.

We decided to have a conversation between ourselves.

"So Mia have you got a boyfriend? We didn't time to catch up!" Anna laughed.

"No I haven't Anna, maybe I will find someone cute here in Brazil! What about you?" I winked.

"No no I haven't had the time!" She sighed.

"Oh, well maybe coming to Brazil will make us lucky Huh?" I joked.

"Hopefully" She simply replied.

I then decided to just go on Instagram and post another selfie with the caption 'we arrived to Brazil'.

"Wow isn't it hot?" I wiped my forehead,

"Yeh! I hope you packed loads of summery clothes?" She exclaimed.

"Yes I knew it was going to be very scorching! Let's just hope we don't burn!" I chuckled and nudged her arm.

"Okay ladies we have reached your hotel. Do you want help with your luggage?" The polite driver asked.

"Umm yes please if you don't mind" Anna nodded.
