Chapter 2

Anna's house wasn't a long walk from my house, well used to be my house. After about 8 minutes I arrived. My hands were still shaking but I rang the doorbell. She opened the door with a big smile and when she spotted me crying, her smiled faded away.

"What's wrong babe?" She asked concerned.

"He threw me out of the house. My dad." I blurted out sobbing.

She gasped and shook her head in disbelief.

"I knew he was cruel but this is too much." She murmured.

"Will you let me stay here? I have no where else to go and you where the first person in my mind" I asked.

"Yes ofcourse I will let you stay no worries" she said hurriedly. "But where's your stuff?"

"He said I can come to get that later" I recalled. "But I don't have the guts to go back there".

She nodded. "Don't worry babe I won't force you to go, I will get it for you" Anna smiled. I loved her just like a sister, she is the most nicest person ever.

"But there is a little problem Mia, I promised my boss I would go to Brazil to stay because I'm going to starting my career there now" She confessed.

"Umm can I come with you? I will understand if you don't want to take me" I said wiping my tears away.

"That's good you want to go because I thought you wouldn't be ready but that's great!" She said excitedly but then she started to be very sympathetic towards me. That's why I loved her, she always cared.

"Thanks for being a great friend Anna" I thanked her for her loveliness.

"Don't mention it. Now you wait here whole I go and get your luggage ok?" She told me.

"Yeh sure thank you" I was so thankful she had no idea.

She smiled and walked away. I knew I was never welcome in that house since I was born. I'm lucky I'm still alive today as when I was a baby my dad beat me. The doctors first thought I wouldn't survive but it was a miracle. I had cancer but that eventually cleared up thankfully.

After about half an hour, Anna came back with all of my stuff and I quickly got up to lend her a hand. She got every single bit.

"Didn't my dad say anything to you" I asked worriedly.

"No no, he said I was welcome to get all your stuff, he said it very angrily though" she sighed.

"Oh I'm so sorry he's always like that" I hid my face in shame.

"Don't worry now, come lets watch some TV" she patted my head.

"Anna when is our flight?" I asked happily. My mood had changed rapidly as she mentioned going to Brazil. It was a dream come true.

"It's in three days babe, I know how much you love Brazil" she chuckled.

"Yep, my favourite place" I said proudly.

We both laughed together at the TV show. I was so excited to go to Brazil. I would be away from all the tension that builds up in my head.

I checked my iPhone to see any notifications on Instagram. I had a loads of them, I decided to post a selfie because at that moment I had forgotten about my dad and had reminded myself he wasn't a part of me anymore. I can live happily without him. I lifted my phone up and pouted, I posted it and in minutes it had 20 likes already. I put my phone down and decided to have a relaxing bath that would calm my senses.
