Third Person POV

Six lay limp in Hank's arms as he quickened his speed towards the fortress. Her eyes had already begun to glow gold before she had passed out and Hank tried not to become too worried. (Y/N) had been like a daughter to him, often calming him down when he lost his temper.

Supergirl meanwhile was desperately trying to catch up to Hanks as Lena's grip tightened around her neck and the briefcase in her hands. The temperature began dropping as they approached the fortress just as the door began to close.

Supergirl screamed in effort as she broke the sound barrier, just managing to get through the door. She landed on one knee as she saw Hank open the box, revealing the glistening sword.

"Wait," Lena screamed as Six spun around. They both gasped upon seeing her golden eyes that were full of pain as she desperately tried to hold on.

They both rushed forward with the briefcase and Hank rushed to meet them. He let go of Six who wobbled on her legs before falling to her knees in exhaustion, barely able to remain conscious. Lena opened the briefcase to reveal a glowing red stone.

"Bring....bring it here," Six managed to gasp out. Lena rushed to stone to Six who with shaking hands, reached out to touch to rock.

The moment that her skin brushed against the rock's cool surface, everything seemed to move in slow motion. A rumble shook the walls of the fortress as (Y/N) let out an agonizing scream. Her eyes started to glow purple as she turned to face Lena and Supergirl with tears in her eyes.

"I-it's not working," Supergirl exclaimed. Before Lena could react, the walls and ceiling began falling apart. Hank grabbed Lena and flew out of the building as she kicked and screamed, struggling to escape his grasp. Supergirl's vision was clouded with tears as (Y/N) grabbed the sword with shaking hands. A loud scream echoed through the fortress and neither of them was sure who's it was as (Y/N) plunged the sword through her stomach. A sheet of ice fell from above, causing Supergirl to become separated from (Y/N) who fell to her knees in agony, pulling out the sword, hoping for death to come quicker.

Supergirl was pounding on the ice, trying to break through the wall as she felt strong arms wrap around her and fly her out of the fortress just before the structure fell in on itself. She was vaguely aware of her screaming and fighting against her cousin who tightened his grip on her, flying her back to the DEO with Hank and Lena following behind him, Lena still sobbing loudly.

(Y/N) meanwhile, was still on her knees when Superman flew through the door of the fortress. She screamed as she pulled the sword out, hoping for relief, for it to all be over. The blood from the sword's surface dripped against the snow, bouncing against its surface and staining it a dark crimson. The pain traveled through her veins and she felt its sharpness in every nerve. She heard someone screaming, but wasn't sure if it was her or Supergirl as Superman carried her away.

The ice beneath (Y/N) began to crack as she felt black smoke seep from her lungs and she began coughing up both blood and smoke as she felt her head become lighter with blood loss and the loss of Six. Then, she was falling as the ground beneath her fell apart and she saw her parent's smiling faces before she landed in a pile of snow, letting the coldness envelop her like a blanket, comforted with the thought that she would finally see her mother and father again.

At the DEO Supergirl had fallen to her knees as ugly sobs racked her body, ignoring the several agents staring at her. Lena knelt beside her, numb with guilt at the thought that she had failed. The entire group was silent for what could have been either hours or minutes, although both were plausible. Eventually, Supergirl shakily stood and let her cousin and sister hug her and pulled Lena in, who finally-finally-let sobs shake her frail frame.
