Hello. My name is Philza Minecraft. I am a wandering explorer, who has definitely had many near death experiences.I am writing in this mostly to make use of it, as I got it as a present from my son Wilbur.
I am not quite sure how I will do this but, here is something...
Tip&Trick -
Water is the most important thing to bring on any adventure.
If you find yourself dying from thirst, there are some places you can look for it.Do not drink from a still lake or puddle, this most likely will have bacteria and diseases in it.
Running water like a river are okay places to drink from, though not ideal. Drinking from a river or a running sorce of water is more likely to help you stay away from getting diseases such as diarrhea.
You can drink the water off of leaves, the water is most likely from the rain.
Snow can be a good source of water, as long as its clean and you dont drink too much of it. Snow can also be dangerous to drink since you dont know what bacteria and diseases lay in it. It would be better to find a frozen over lake and melt the ice to drink.
Cacti are a good source of water if you are in the desert, just as long as you avoid those needles.
I had been walking for days, yesterday I had run out of water and I had no extra. The next town would be about a week away, I would be dead by then. I brushed this off, thinking that I would be fine.
The next day had gone by smoothly, not a single person in sight. I hadn't gotten attacked by anything, thankfully. I was in a large forest, trekking through the treacherous landscape. The day went by and I hadn't given any thought to water until I had settled down for the night.
I had built my tent and was cooking some beans in the fire. I was poking the fire with a stick when I had a sudden feeling of deep dizziness.
Tip -
The symptoms of dehydration are,
Short term -Dizziness and feeling lightheaded
Dark yellow and strong smelling pee
Headaches
Muscle cramping
Nausea
Long term -
Shock
Kidney failure
Death
I know there are others but these are the most common.
Anyways, I was hit with a sudden feeling of dizziness. It had gone away nearly a few minutes after it started. Me, not knowing that I was dehydrated at the time thought, well that was weird.
I had went to bed that night feeling like I might throw up. I woke up, got out of the tent, and another wave of dizziness hit me.
It had now been 3 days since I had water.
Tip&Trick -
The longest someone can live without water is 5 to 6 days. Less if you are in hot weather.
You can drink your own sweat if it comes to that.
I began walking again, unknowing why I felt like throwing up, had sudden dizziness, and my muscles had been cramping up.
I had just assumed that I ate something bad, thinking it would come out and I would be fine.
I walked for a few hours, completely forgetting about the symptoms I had been having.
My legs all of a sudden gave out from underneath me. I fell to the ground with a barely audible 'thump'. I lay there for a few mintues, wondering what the hell was happening.
I had managed to look up and nearly a few meters away was a small lake. My mouth started to water and I had only then asked myself, how long has it been since I drank water?
I crawled to the lake, it was still, but at this point my mind was set on having water. I scooped some up in my hands and drank.
I took my water bottle out and took some with me. Though my body screaming for me to stop. I had gotten up, promising that once I found a safe place to sleep, I would.
I had found a nice place by a river and settled there for the time being. I had settled there for a few days. Only then realizing that I could have died.
I had drank a lot of water by the time I left that spot. I had filled up all my water bottles/water carrying containers.
You know this is kind of fun, writing in a journal. I think I will do it more often.
Phil
