The busy platform buzzed with the sounds of excited children and saddened parents. The children, excited to start their new adventure, and the parents, nervous for what's to come for their kids. You stood next to your father, Roman Y/L/N, who held his hand on your shoulder to keep you in place. Mentally recalling your checklist, you checked to see if you had everything. Owl? You looked into the cage that stood on top of your trunk. Your black and white spotted owl, Hera, blinked back at you. Check. Did I forget my trunk? Oh no, I can't believe I'd forget such an important thing! As if she was reading your mind, Hera slowly looked down to the trunk she was set on top of. I'm not going to survive Hogwarts if I seriously think I'd forget my own trunk. Oh dear.

"What's on your mind?" Your fathers voice broke you out of your panicked trance. The pressure of all of his expectations became real in that moment. You had to make him proud.

"Nothing, I'm just nervous," His harsh eyes stared down at you in disappointment. "and excited?" You tacked on, making sure his expression melted back into his normal, stoic one.

"You needn't be nervous. You're a Y/L/N and you must start acting like one." He was angry, and looking around the platform, trying to find something.

"Yes, sir."

"Alright darling, before you're off, I wanted to introduce you to some of my...friends." Your father must have found what he was looking for. You were ushered toward a family. A man, a woman, and a boy. The woman had black and white hair, and a perfect smile aimed your way.

"You must be Y/N," She said while crouching down to your level. The woman grabbed your hands in her gloved ones. You nodded quietly.

"You've raised her well, very quiet that one." The man standing behind her commented to your father. He stood tall with long blonde hair and a cane by his side. The woman at your eye level smiled and squeezed your hands.

"My name is Narcissa Malfoy, dear. Behind me is my husband Lucius." The tall man, Lucius as you now know, nodded sharply. Narcissa turned to her side and ushered the boy you assumed to be your age with the same striking blonde hair as his father toward you. "And this is my son, Draco." The boy extended his hand for a handshake. You took it as you heard his father speak up.

"Draco, be nice to this one. Understand?" His low voice made his message clear.

"Yes, father." The boy looked to his shoes, nerves seemed to be getting the best of him, too. He met your eyes with a small smile.

"Alright now, you must be on your way. Be good, and do your best. Remember what I told you?"  Your father once again held his hand firm on your shoulder.

"Yes father, I am a Y/L/N and I must act like one." You repeated back to him. Your father nodded and kissed your forehead.

"Stay close to Draco, he's a good one." Your father whispered to you. It wasn't unusual for him to dictate who you were allowed to associate with. It was 'for your best interest' he would say. He stood back up and patted you on the back. "Off you go." He announced.

"Bye now, my dear. I love you very much." Narcissa hugged her son whose cheeks reddened. She gave him a kiss on the cheek before nudging Draco along.

"Good bye, father. Goodbye and nice meeting you Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy." You smiled at the adults in front of you.

"Goodbye Mother. Goodbye Father. Goodbye Mr. Y/L/N." The boy to your right said. You and Draco shared a look, mentally making sure the both of you were ready. After grabbing your trunk and your caged owl, the two of you started walking toward the train. A light chill rushed into your veins, you were unsure if it were the weather or your nerves.
