You parked your black Suv and got out of the car. The cold crisp air blew on your faces and suggesting that autumn was coming. This was it. You were going to do the first step in achieving your dream. Lexi took a sharp intake of breath.
"You ready Y/n? " She asked you.
"Born Ready." You said.
Smiling on the outside but screaming on the inside, you both made your way to the building, like the calm before the chaos, love, fight, friendship that was about to happen.
This is gonna be one hell of a residency.
Seattle Grace, you're gonna change my life, you thought.

Y/N
We saw around the hospital and made our way to the changing room. There were people from everywhere, attending the internship. Some familiar faces too, but we didn't make any eye-contact with them, and they didn't with us too. People were changing clothes into their scrubs and coats, and some people were brushing their teeth, while some people were filling their lockers. I reminded myself to go through some books during my free time.
But then one guy stood there, at the entrance of the changing room tired, his face sunken, with embarrassed, out of place. He carried a stack of books, tucked under his right arm, and walked inside the room. His eyes met mine but soon averted to my other side; On Lexie.
Lexie stood beside him, beside his locker, and then she said,
"Hi, I'm Lexie. Lexie Grey."
Grey. He looked startled when he heard that word.
"W-What?" He stuttered.
"She said her name is Lexie Grey." I said.
"Yeah, I heard it right the first time." He said shutting the door of his locker.
"Then why were you staring at me like a lost dog?" Lex asked him.
"I- " He stopped in the middle of the sentence. He looked around and looking for an excuse to avoid us. He quickly grabbed the coat and,
"- have to go" He finished the sentence and left the room.
Geez, what the hell was THAT all about, you wondered.
"I'm gonna change," Lexi announced, and breaking the silence between you two.

Lexi
I searched for mine and y/n 's name in the list on which we could check which resident we were under for the week. I ran my fingers over the papers around which everyone was crowded. My eyes ran over the pages checking for mine and y/n 's name.
Y/n.
Y/n was a ray of sunshine in my life. Not the way you guys think. NEVER in a million years. Like in a platonic way. She's a wonderful person to be around with. She's the only person who understands how everyone sees me or more specifically, us. I like her, like you like someone when you have gone through the same difficulties, and someone to talk to about it. It's a really nice feeling you know?
"Did you find it?" y/n asked me from behind as she was wearing her coat.
"Ughhhh...Found it!" I said, and she came over and saw the paper over my shoulders.
