"Father!"

Nicole POV

"Father? Please be okay? Please?" I keep on begging at him while the doctor and nurse placing him in an hospital bed, carefully. He didn't heard me, I know. Giving the state he had right now.

"What's wrong with him? What's wrong to my father?" The tears slip in my eyes flowing like there was no apologize and let it to flow freely in my eyes down to my shirt. I look like a lost child and I am without my father.

"Miss, we are sorry for your father condition but please let the doctor do their job." One of the officer who come along by me at the hospital to let my father got medicated lectured me. I blow a very long breath whom I didn't know I was holding. I touch my forehead then sat down while starring at the white door with my father inside.

One question in my mind is how deep his illness has. If it can be cured or "no no no! It can't be my father is strong. Though his-"

"Your father had been suffered an illness after  your mother bring him at the jail." My mother? What?

I look up at him. "What? What do you mean by my mother brought him." I paused for awhile trying to sink in the information I got before I go with the next question. "You mean my father had been into jail because of my mother?" I asked confused and not sure if that is the right question.

Though my mother had been a bitch to me but my father was his husband and-?

"I know I had no right to say this to you. But looking at your father condition inside the jail with me guarding him. I know he is not a criminal like what your mother told the police and law about his so called criminal case." He said emphasizing and quoting the 'so called criminal case.'

"Then why he is in the jail in the first place?" I asked him trying to point out what he is mean by that. "And how can you say this? Do I know you or  do you know my family?" He smiled at me then take off his police cap.

"I'm Arthur Luis. Your father long lost friend." He said while extending his hand at me with a big smile plastered on his face.

But I still don't get it. So I hesitantly take his hand and just look at him like a lost puppy. But I still grab it though.

"Uhm I don't know how to say it, honestly. But how? and when?" I ask after we finish shaking our hands and he take a sit next to me. Before he started.

"Maybe time has already come to  let you know about this." He started then blowing a long breath in the air. Starring at me then to the white door of the hospital room on where my father lying inside. "As far as I know, before your father met your mom he has his first love but they didn't make it together." He said and paused for awhile before looking back at my direction and continue.

"Your father married your so called mother and give birth to your two brothers. But after a year your father met his first love for the first time in a very long time. That woman wanted to spend a little time with your father even just a short night. So, your father agreed since he too Miss her that much." He grin on me. I rolled my eyes on my mind.

"So my father cheated with that woman?" I asked though I got a feeling that this is going to be something bad.

"When your father went home that morning. It was quite though at first but after a couple of months. There was a knock at the door and there there is a cute little baby girl left in the doorway. Only a little basket and a couple of things are with that baby. After a years she grow strong and beautiful. So same as the kids, that baby got sick so bad that in a point your father and mother need a blood for that baby to get well. But the worse is only the blood related could donate. And accidentally your father volunteered to try to match his blood with the baby. And it is! It's match but beside that happy moments your mother is not happy when he found out that included your DNA are match but not her."
