3:00 PM
Sweat trickled down Oikawa's forehead as he made his way home. His class ended earlier than he expected, so he had some time to spare. The sun shone down brightly, the air around him felt thick and suffocating.
Yeah, I really need to find a convenience store and buy a drink or something.. He thought to himself, rubbing the sweat off his face, using the bottom hem of his shirt.
"Phew, some abs you got there,"
Oikawa's eyes widened. He slowly looked up to find Iwaizumi standing there, a smirk plastered across his face. He was wearing a plain white t-shirt, black sweatpants and what looked like running shoes. Oikawa blushed, letting his shirt go.
"Iwaizumi...what're you doing here?" Oikawa asked, slightly embarrassed.
"Oh, on a run to the manga store nearby. And you?" Iwaizumi spoke, puffing out air. His eyes were stuck to Oikawa, causing the latter to blush and shy away.
"Uh, class just got over and I was looking for a convenience store..." Oikawa replied softly, eyes stuck to the floor,
I didn't think this guy could seriously get any hotter-
"Oh, I think I know one that's around here. Wanna go together?" Iwaizumi asked, walking towards Oikawa, pulling his phone out of his pocket.
"But what about-" Oikawa started, but was cut off by Iwaizumi,
"It's okay, I was supposed to buy a couple of snacks anyways. You okay with me tagging along?" He asked, typing in the name of the store into Miyagi Maps.
Oikawa looked up at him, and nodded his head. Shortly after, they began walking, side by side, to the store. A cool breeze passed them, causing Oikawa's fluffy hair to bounce. He yawned, stretching his arms in front of him. Iwaizumi glanced at him and smiled, but turned back to look at his phone before Oikawa could notice.
The silence between them felt comfortable.
Iwaizumi Hajime...this is the first time I've met you. Why does it feel like I've known you for longer than that? Oikawa thought deeply,
"And, we're here!" Iwaizumi exclaimed, looking back at him, only to find Oikawa walking further away from the shop, completely forgetting his surroundings.
"Oi-kawa!" Iwaizumi yelled, causing Oikawa to slightly jump and turn around.
"Yes! Sorry, Iwaizum-" Oikawa was cut off yet again,
"You don't have to call me that. Hajime is fine. I'll call you 'Kawa', if you don't mind?" Iwaizumi asked, eyes fixated on Oikawa's.
Kawa? Really?
"I don't mind, Hajime-san!" Oikawa replied, smiling.
"Hajime-san? Really? I don't think I'll respond to you if you call me that, 'kawa." Iwaizumi sighed, turning his back to Oikawa.
"Alright then, how about 'Iwa-chan'?" Oikawa asked, rolling his eyes. He expected Iwaizumi to say something like 'What a ridiculous choice' but instead noticed that Iwaizumi relaxed his shoulders upon hearing the name.
The breeze started picking up around them, chills running down Oikawa's spine.
"Hajime-san..?" Oikawa called out, worried if 'Iwa-chan' was used by someone dear to Iwaizumi.
"No, no, stick to 'Iwa-chan', I like it." Iwaizumi replied, as if he'd read Oikawa's mind. He looked back at Oikawa, smiled and walked into the store.
Oikawa, not reading too much into it, shrugged and followed him.

"-And he said, 'You should've come to Shiratorizawa'! Can you believe that guy? He's so annoying!" Oikawa fumed, Iwaizumi letting out a laugh.
The two were walking back from the store, having spent about 3 hours together, talking about their volleyball experiences and school. Iwaizumi and Oikawa hit it off, right from the start. Oikawa felt at ease while talking to him, and surprisingly, couldn't stop smiling either.
"Alright Tooru, I'll catch you tomorrow at the hospital, yeah?" Iwaizumi asked, looking up at the sky. It was a bright orange, the sun setting behind him. Oikawa nodded, staring at Iwaizumi.
"Ne, Iwa-chan, can I get your number?" Oikawa asked, cheeks heating up.
"Oh, give me your phone, and here, take mine." Iwaizumi replied cooly,
Both entered their numbers into the others phone, Oikawa naming himself as 'Tooru ❤'. Iwaizumi smiled at it. Oikawa could feel his heart flutter. Soon after, they said their goodbyes and walked away in opposite directions, a day spent well.
