Winter Writing Contest

This winter, I will be hosting a short story writing contest for young/beginner authors!

How to enter: after you complete your fantasy story, please copy it into a google document (unless it's already in one) and then private message me the link. I will read through it and judge it based on writing skill and plot. If you win, I will private message you to let you know and (with your permission) announce the winner on my profile.

Story Rules

Theme: Fantasy

Length: Story must be a minimum of 1,000 words and a maximum of 10,000.

Your story can take place at any time of year, during any era, in any place.

Age range for entries: 9-14.

Please do not include any mature content. In other words, write it so a five year old could come across your story and not be traumatized.

Deadline: January 31st, midnight wherever you are (I'm not too strict on time since I know there are people on Wattpad from all over the world. Just be sure that it's been submitted before by February 5th, which is when I'll start reading them).

Prize: The prize is a collaboration over Google Docs, where I can assist you with writing any book or story of your choice to try and help you create a great piece of fiction. If you win, you can pick any story to work on, from something half-finished, something that just needs editing, or even something you haven't started working on yet if you need help getting started.

Judging: The contest will be judged by me. Please note that although I will not be picking the winner at random, I will not be biased. I'm judging these blind and picking the story I find is the most interesting, compelling and well-written. (The way I plan on judging them blindly is by copying them all into new google documents and not checking who they're from until after I've picked).

Notes

Please do not publish your story on Wattpad prior to entering the contest. This is just so your ideas do not influence anyone else's.
