The next day
Chelsea's POV
Today was my date with Niall and Taryn had taken it upon herself to get me ready. "hold still!" she said, loudly, as she pulled the eyeshadow brush away from my face. "sorry," I replied. She shrugged her shoulders. "I'm done now, but put these on," she said, shoving a pile of clothes at me and jewelry at me. I put my glasses before changing into the clothes and putting on the jewelry and walking over to the mirror. "wait!" she screamed. "what?" I asked, scrunching my eyebrows together and looking at her. "shoes," she said, simply, holding up a pair of black, lace up, bootie style high heels, the heel was probably 2 inches high, but I was good at walking in heels, and Niall was about 2 inches taller than me, so they would make me about the same height as him. I put the shoes on and tied them up before walking to the mirror to see what I looked like. Taryn had done shimmery, navy blue eyeshadow on my eyelids, making my navy blue eyes pop, some light blush on my cheeks, and my favorite, pink tinted lip balm. She hadn't given me any concealer, since I never got acne, and so you could see my light freckles easily. I was wearing a navy blue polka dot, button up chiffon shirt, a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, and a bunch of brightly colored bracelets with some gold ones mixed in, as well as the shoes that she'd made me wear and my strawberry blond hair was up in a messy bun with my bangs down since they were too short to be put in the bun. By now it was 6:50, so Niall would be here any minute. I followed Taryn downstairs and sat down on the couch, turning on the tv. We watched flipped through channels, not seeing anything good, so we just kept going through channels, hoping something interesting would magically appear until the doorbell rang. "I'll get it!" I screamed, as Taryn ran to the door. I opened the door to see Niall, smiling like he was high. He was wearing dark trousers and a white dress shirt that was unbuttoned at the top, and he looked hot, yes, I just said that my best friend since kindergarten looked hot, I don't give a shit, it's true. "hey Chels," he smiled. "hey, let me just grab my purse," I said, walking over to the couch. I picked up my dark brown leather cross body bag and slung it over my right shoulder and headed back to the door. I grabbed Niall's hand and kicked the door closed behind us and followed Niall to his car. He opened the passenger side door for me and I got in and he went over to the drivers side and got in, pulling out of the driveway. "so, where are we going?" I asked, mentally face palming myself, I knew he wasn't gonna tell me, he was him, I was the same, never ask us something that we want to keep a surprise or secret, we will say no. "Chelsea, you know me well enough to know I won't tell you, it's a surprise," he said, simply, to which I responded "I know, I was just hoping you could make an exception?". He rolled his eyes. "you know I can't do that, that would defeat the purpose of a surprise," he chuckled. This time it was my turn to roll my eyes. The rest of the short ride was silent. "we're here," he said, getting out of the car. I got out, noticing we were at a park by the River Thames. I looked over at Niall who was holding a massive picnic basket. I raised my eyebrows at him. "that's really big," I commented, gesturing towards the picnic basket. "I know you love food just as much as me," he said, walking down to the edge of the riverbank where he set the basket down, sitting beside it. I went and sat beside him asking, "where's the blanket,". He glared at me, "there wasn't room," he said, as if that should be obvious. I giggled, reaching into the box and pulling out a pizza box, I have no fucking clue how he fit that in there, anyway. I opened the pizza box and pulled out a slice, taking a bite. Niall took a piece and began eating. We finished the pizza and watched the sunset over the river, since I wanted to and he knew I was stubborn. Once the sun had set, he grabbed my hand and stood up, pulling me with him. "where are we going?" I asked, following him as he walked. "you'll see," he grinned. I followed him to the London Eye and he handed the guy two tickets and he opened the door to one of the pods. We got in and the door closed behind us. "oh my god, I've always wanted to go to the London Eye," I said as we neared the top. "I know," he smiled. "so you didn't totally forget me," I giggled. "wow, it's beautiful," I said, staring out over London. "yeah," he agreed. "Chelsea?" he asked. "yeah?" I said, turning to face him. "will you be my girlfriend?" I smiled, nodding and giving him a hug. "of course," I whispered in his ear.
