It was early in the morning, much more early than she would like. The Sun wasn't even up, barely reaching it's warm waves across the horizon. Still she got up and ignored the will to stay and sleep longer, stretching and yawning. Padding down the plush staircase, tying her robe closed for extra warmth, she could hear sounds in the kitchen. The coffee machine, the toaster...all morning things yet done at what felt like nightly hours.

The cause of the noise was now in view, dressed casually in a sweater and slacks. She quietly chuckled in amusement. Even on days off he still managed this professional appearance. It felt right though, for him; she liked that. Stepping into the kitchen, immediately trying to claim her spot of in his arms, burying her face against the soft sweater covered shoulder.

"Did the smell of coffee get you up? Or was it something else, love?"

He still had the deeper rumble that comes with a morning voice, his accent seeming thicker. It sent a happy shiver down her spine to hear that voice, it was a rare voice to hear due to the past difference in waking hours. She managed to surpress a laugh, sloppy kisses pressing across his neck and jaw.

"This is all your fault."

Amusement and love soaked her tone like a tea bag to water, making a rare laugh mumble out from the taller. Without disturbing her, he managed to grab a second cup from the cabinet and poured coffee into it, briefly turning his head to kiss the side of her head, fond words whispered out.

"I know."
