When Ward left the office, Coulson immediately tried to get to Fury and arrange a meeting. Fortunately, both he and Hill had been waiting to hear from him ever since he was rescued so it was quite easy. Telling them which agents should be and shouldn't be present during the meeting without giving them a reason was not that hard but when Coulson finally told him to include all the Avengers (Thor if it's possible), Fury started to object.

"Coulson, the Avengers aren't lev-" he started.

"Cut the level seven crap Fury! So many agents below level seven have seen me at the HUB and FitzSimmons are on the team and they're level five and I am not even talking about Skye. She isn't even an agent yet. You didn't mind all these people knowing. Why do-" Coulson stopped suddenly. Fury didn't want them to know because of TAHITI.

"It's TAHITI. You designed this originally for the Avengers to bring them back if one of them ever dies. You don't want them to know about it. You don't want them to know what kind of things you are playing with."

"Director Fury moved heaven and Earth."

"Phil, are the Avengers really needed in this meeting?" Hill asked when Fury refused to answer.

"Yes, we're talking about the fate of the world." When he saw Fury open his mouth, he added "I'll tell everyone about it at the meeting."

Before ending the call he also said. "By the way we must do it without attracting a lot of attention." he said and ended the call before either could ask a thing.

TAHITI, Raina, Garrett, Hydra...

Today has literally been cursed, he thought.

Next Day

Coulson was surprised that Fury managed get everyone that fast but considering how short time they probably had, he was also thankfull.

He had already informed the team about their little visit to the Triskellion and FitzSimmons were more excited than curious about the it and ready to answer Skye's questions and even though May seemed to find the sudden trip quite odd, she didn't question, just set the coordiantes.

"So how can you describe your relationship with Garrett?" Coulson asked Ward. After the other members of the team had gone to do their own things, Coulson and Ward went to Coulson's office for a chat.

Ward looked at Coulson, confused that he was asking this instead of HYDRA or Centipede intel. "He is like a father to me and I owe him everything like I said yesterday. That's why even I didn't tell anyone about HYDRA before even if their ideals didn't appeal to me." he answered. "I didn't want to betray him."

Coulson looked into Ward's eyes and saw genuine affection for Garrett. Garrett doesn't deserve his care or loyalty one bit, he thought.

"Sir, what do you think is going to happen?" he asked, nervously. He knew when he decided to confess everything, none of it would have stayed between them. He was sure at the very least Fury and Hill would have been informed but he didn't expect Coulson to alert almost every high ranking agent including the avengers.

"Nothing is going to happen to you, Grant." Coulson anwered. "You confessed on your own and I promised I would protect you."

"I am never that lucky." he asnwered, remembering how he had burnt down his family's house and got caught.

"Grant, no matter how angry they might be, even Hand at the very least will be able to see that you're an asset." he said.

Ward noded but he wasn't entirely convinced. These people had dedicated their lives to greater good and they would find out it all had been a lie. And frankly he wasn't comfortable with sharing his private life with them.
