Gwen pov

Otto walked in on me and y/n, so I stood next to him and slid the suit underneath their table

Y/n: hey otto, what's up

Otto: oh nothing, sir. I just forgot somethings, but may I ask what you're doing here

Y/n: well been asked me to-

Gwen: to help, yeah, he's helping with the project

Otto: oh? I didn't take you to be interested in prosthetics manufacturing

Y/n: yeah~ gotta help out those...people

Otto: well, I won't stand in your way. The more help, the merrier the board will be. I'll see you both tomorrow

Gwen: see you, otto

Y/n: have a good night

He waved for the last time before leaving, and Gwen took a sigh of relief

Y/n: that could have gone better

Gwen: no kidding, now let's start. What kind of costume Do you want for now so I can fix your old one

Y/n: um, let me go with the scarlet version. I liked it

Gwen: sure

Then we went to the central part of the lab where we hid all the suits, and she handed me the Scarlet case with the web-shooters outside of the costume

Gwen: don't ruin this one like your original

Y/n: yes, ma'am

Gwen: now let's go. We got dinner with your mother

Y/n: so are we going by web or by car

Gwen: car, of course

Y/n: boring

Gwen: you bought a million-dollar car y/n, use it, besides it's her birthday, so we need to get that cake

Y/n: right, right

Time skip

We pulled up at my mother's house with the cake as she was setting up the dinner table

Gwen: try to sneak in

Y/n: on it

I went to the back window and slid the window open as I crawled in and on to the ceiling as she was walking into the kitchen

M/n: y/n I work for shield. Do you think you could sneak up on me

Then I stood up or upside down on the healing as she turned around

Y/n: ok, really, how did you know I was here

M/n: like I said, shield training and mothers intuition, I don't need spider powers to hear or know you were coming

Y/n: okay, sure

M/n: now get off the ceiling and come eat

I jumped off and landed on the floor, then stood up and walked and towards the dining room Gwen was already there with the cake

Gwen: happy birthday Mrs.l/n

M/n: Oh my, now she's sneaky

Y/n: what?

M/n: this is a lovely cake though

Y/n: only the best for you, mom

M/n: I'm glad you two came

Gwen: we wouldn't miss it

We all sat at the table and started eating, talking, and laughing. It was a good time, but thats when we got an alert on our phones
