it's your classic angsty high school gay romance. a troubled boy who just wants his parents' approval struggles with developing feelings for another boy. it is sweet and definitely a slow burn (though the feelings and tension are there from the start). it is just a really good book with dynamic characters who you see get to know, and really grow into, themselves.
