All of this was unexpected. The raid was unexpected, the hit was unexpected, the future was very unexpected.
It was just a usual day in Siramenor, as any other, it was peaceful. Laltyl and Avurak were sitting at the bonfire, hugging each other and chatting. Suddenly, there was a loud stomp near the small bridge to the area. This made both the elves look over and their eyes widen at the sight. There was an olog, holding an unconscious guard by the neck. Said olog threw the Ame' towards a tree, the man gasping at the sudden impact to his back. Avurak quickly gets up and unsheathed his two daggers, holding each in both hands , looking back at Laltyl with a serious gaze "ring the bell and then run!". Laltyl nodded, running over to the bell and loudly ringing it. Once she had done so, the olog let out a loud roar at the sudden sound and started walking towards Laltyl, dragging behind him a mallet.
Avurak shook his head and ran in front of Laltyl "Laltyl RUN!" The small elfess was trembling, nodding hesitantly and starting to run from the area. The olog saw this though and quickly threw his mallet towards Laltyl. Avurak's eyes widen and he moves to stop the mallet, but is not fast enough. The large wooden weapon hits Laltyl at her back and head very hard "NOOOO!" Avurak yelled, running to Laltyl's side as she quickly loses consciousness, catching her before she hits the ground. Blood was dripping from the back of her head, everything started to fade to black for her the last thing Laltyl saw was Avurak's crying face and his words " please don't leave me, I love you...".
The gaurds soon arrived and they defeated the olog after a long fight, as this happened, Avurak took Laltyl to the Aegrathond clinic, healers and monks going to help heal her very horrid wounds. Avurak was standing outside her stall, hugging Vihai, who was in his arms crying. He himself was crying as well, but silently, having a serious and emotionless expression on his face, though you could clearly see his sadness. The monks and healers were able to clean her wounds and tidy her up but even after hours, Laltyl wouldn't wake up. Avurak was starting to worry. At this time Laetranis entered the clinic, having heard of his daughter's medical state, he was quite worried as well "Sonna, why won't she wake up? It's been hours"he asked the druii, pain and sadness clear in his eyes. "I'm sorry mal'onn, I don't know. Her head bled a lot and she was hit very hard. We are thinking that she might have fallen into a coma.."she looks down as she says this.
Avurak and Laetranis froze at this news, looking towards Laltyl. Avurak shook his head "no...h-how long will she be in a coma for?"he asked desperately at Sonna, who shrugged "I don't know that either Avurak. It could be a few days, weeks, months....or even years". Avurak shook his head, stumbling back a little as he placed Vihai down. Laetranis just looked at his daughter and closed his eyes, placing a hand over his heart and starting to prey to the aspects. Sonna did the same, soon asking the monks to leave, the elfess following after. Laetranis finished praying and he want to Laltyl's side, tousling her hair as he always does " you said no more worrying.... dong break that promise" he sighed walking out of the stall and looking at Avurak " stay with her, she needs you by her side" and at that, Laetranis left the clinic.Avurak walked into the stall with Vihai " mommy!" The little girl said, going to hug her unconscious mother, though Avurak pics her up before she could do anything "mommy is sleeping Vihai, we can't bother her"c he sat at the edge of the bed, placing a hand on Laltyl's leg softly, just caressing his thumb on it " please, wake up soon...we need you" Avurak let a tear stream down his cheek at this, biting his lip to stop himself from starting to sob. He wanted to stay strong for Vihai and Siora. For Laltyl.
After 10 months of Laltyl being in a coma later
On one Normal and quiet day, Avurak visited Laltyl's stall as he has done fore the past year and three months. He would clean the stall and make sure Laltyl looked tidy. As he was softly brushing her hair, Laltyl's hand suddenly bolted up and she grabbed his wrist. This made Avurak jump in surprise and he immediately started caring for Sonna. The ame' heard him and ran to the clinic, Laetranis following behind her. Sonna and lae arrived at the stall and looked at Avurak and then Laltyl's hand, who was still holding his wrist "she's waking up!"Avurak says with both excitement but worry. Laltyl starts to move her legs a little and in a swift moment she takes a sharp gasp, opening her eyes and looking at the strangers in fear, letting go of avurak and moving to the wall, breathing heavily "w-who are you? Where ami? W-who am I?"She asked in an alarm tone, looking down at her hands and groaning a little due to the pain in her head and back. Avurak furrowed his eyes "you don't....know who we are?" He asked, looking up at lae and Sonna and then back at Laltyl "n-no...am I supposed to know who you are?" Laetranis sighed and shook his head "Sonna, why can't she remember us?" He looked to the woman who also looked hurt "it seems that her brain was too harmed and it harmed her memory.. she's forgotten us" she says in a shaky sigh. Avurak tries to hesitantly take Laltyl's hand but she pulls it away from him " stay away!" She yells, hugging her knees in fear. Avurak's heart hurt at the action, looking away from her.
Later sighed and placed a hand on Avurak's shoulder, squeezing it tightly "you should go be with your daughters, we'll talk to her"he said softly to the ker. He nodded and stood up, giving Laltyl one last hurt look before leaving the clinic. As she saw this, Laltyl then gave her attention to her father and friend "p-please, don't hurt me" she would shake. Laetranis shook his head and kneeled next to the bed "shh don't worry oemi'i, we aren't going to hurt you. I would never hurt my daughter" he smiled at her. Laltyl tilted her head at this "d-daughter? You're my f-father?" She asked, looking at him with a pout "who am I-I?" She asked, pointing to herself "you are Laltyl Arvellon. I am Laetranis tahorran, and that's Sonna" he said, pointing to Sonna who was standing next to him, waving at Laltyl with a smile. "And that man that was here before, that was Avurak, your lover" her heart skipped a beat at this, looking at the leaf bracelet around her arm, she also realized that Avurak had a similar one. "Why can't I remember anything?" She would continue to ask. Laetranis stood and sat at the end of her bed, explaining what had happened before she got into a coma that had lasted a year and a few months.. Laltyl listened closely, trying to remember what he was talking about, but it was all blank. She didn't remember her past, her skills, her friends. She couldn't even remember the love she had for Avurak and everyone.
"How about we go outside. It's been a year, and you should see elvenesse, it's your home after all" he smiled and offered her his hand. Laltyl was hesitant but took his hand, slowly getting out of bed. "Be careful lae, she needs to take things slow for some time. She might be healed on the outside, but her brain might have been damaged in some way" Laetranis nodded and helped Laltyl walk, who almost fell as soon as she stood up. He walked her out of the clinic and Laltyl took in a deep breath as soon as they were outside, looking around at the beautiful scenery "this place is...beautiful "she smiled, watching birds fly around and listening to the sounds of critters around them and elves talking and laughing. Everything had a deja-vous feeling to it, but nothing would come back to her. She could feel the grass and dirt on her feet, loving the feeling. They started to walk towards the bonfire. There, many of Laltyl's friends would sit, looking sad and worried. "Everyone, look who woke up" Laetranis announced and all the elves looked towards them, their eyes widening and getting watery "Laltyl!"they all yelled in disbelief.. this made the girl jump and hide behind Laetranis. Everyone was confused, Laetranis sighing and looking at the group "don't startle her, she doesn't know who any of you are. Laltyl has lost her memories". Everyone looked confused but understood and sat back down, Laltyl moving from behind Laetranis and looking at each face, not recognizing anyone "Laltyl, these are your friends. They've been worried for you" he smiles down at her and she nods, giving them all a small wave.
The rest of the day, Laetranis gave Laltyl a tour of elvenesse, wanting her to know the area so that she won't get lost if she wanders off alone. He also introduced her to the people that she knew before. Anessen heard of Laltyl waking up and watched them. Laetranis had introduced them and Laltyl didn't have any hate in her eyes towards Anessén, just her usual cheery smile. He took this opportunity as a second chance, so he stayed with her and lae while she was shown around, speaking to her when he had the chance. Will this be a danger to Laltyl and Avurak's relationship? Will Laltyl regain her memories? ....
