Chapter 13

THEO POV

I wake up and hear my phone buzzing.

It's Shailene.

"Hello?" I say

"Hey, I was wondering if you would like to hang out and talk about... uh the baby?" She asks

"Sure! I'll be over there at 11:30" I say

"Okay bye" she says. I then press end.

I get up and look at my clock 10:48.

I decide I'll have to take a shower so I won't smell.

As I wash my hair I think of Shai.

I can't believe she's pregnant.

My mind drifts off to donuts.

My favorite donuts

1.chocolate

2.glazed

3. Cream stick

I snap back into reality.

I hurry up and see its 11:14

I put on some jeans and a t-shirt.

Right now it's the middle of winter.

I look at the time it's 11:25

I walk back into the kitchen and quickly grab some donuts.(yes I know I spelt them wrong.)

I put on my Converse.

I walk out and knock on Shailene's door.

She answers.

"Hi"

"Hello" I say

"Come on in" she says.

"Okay" I say.

She sits down on the couch. I sit right next to her.

"We can't tell anybody" she says

For a second my face goes into confusion but then I realize she means not to tell anybody about the baby.

"Yeah of course" I say

"I... We should find out how far we are along and stuff" she says

I frown.

"What?" She says as she crosses her arms.

"Maybe we should wait" I say

"Theo are you saying we aren't going to find out how far along I am??" She says with anger in her tone.

"No. How about we go today?" I ask.

"Yay! Thanks Theo" she gives me a hug.

I smile.

I'm so lucky to have Shailene.
