Chapter 2: Mr. Stranger

Chapter two

After my encounter with that Strange Familiar Man. I got myself towards the office. Didn't know how'd I get there where in fact I'm not in a perfect state to drive.

Tulala parin akong naglalakad. My thoughts were flying down to memory lane. My consciousness left me for a moment.

"Congratulations po, Ms. Arlene!"

"Congrats!"

"Congratulations po!"

"Hoy! Gaga! Tulala ka dyan? Ba't namumugto 'yang  mata mo? Na disgrasya Ka ba? 'san Banda yung sakit?"

I was back at myself dahil sa mga atat na tanong ni Kharrie.

"H-ha? A-ano yun? May sinasabi ka beh?"  Tanong ko pabalik sa kanya.

" Ayun!! Mubalik ka na rin sa sarili mo Gaga! Pinag-alala mo ako dun ha? Na disgrasya ka ba sa daan?"  Worried na tanong Niya.

I just shake my head softly."Nope. Don't worry, I'm fine." While extending my arms to show her na wala akong gasgas.

"Okay. Pero beh maiba ako ng tanong." She pulled the swivel chair beside me and sits down.

"Hmm..? Ano yun beh?" Tugon ko habang nag aarranged ng na stack na mga papel sa table ko.

"Ba't mugto 'yang mata mo? So far, wala naman akong nababalitaan na may naging boyfriend ka ha? Meron na ba? Uyy inform mo Naman ako! Hahaha." Sabay niyugyug Ang dalawang balikat ko.

"Obviously, sa kaka k-drama ko to! Before kaya ako pumasok nag K-drama muna ako no? Hahahaha ang sad lang talaga ng ending nung pinanuod ko." Hindi ko siya matingnan sa mata.

"Back to work na beh! Chika Tayo later!" Pagtataboy ko sa kanya. Pinanglisikan lang niya ako ng mata na para bang nagsasabi na pinapanuod niya ako 'tsaka umalis na siya ng tuluyan patungong cubicle niya.

Phew... Muntik na ako 'dun ha!

This Company has 20 floors including the lobby and the rooftop. The executive's offices are in the 19th floor and the rest of the floor including the Business Management floor, The Printing Press and anything that worked under this company occupies the spaces in every floor and I worked at the 18th floor where the base of someone with a higher position in the company located.

I keep on receiving a Congratulatory message the whole morning.  Though I slacked off sometimes because of some petty thoughts but I managed to finish my work naman.

Launch break came and I'm eating with my colleagues sa cafeteria. We were lucky to be able to find a table for six at this hour. Every lunch kasi all the tables are occupied kaya sometimes we will go out and find a place to eat if our schedule is not that hectic, if hectic naman we will not eat nalang.

Habang pumipila ako para umorder ng pagkain ay naalala ko na naman yung nangyari kanina.

I close my eyes and shake my head.. don't you dare remember his face Arlene.

After I ordered my food, umupo na ako sa pahabang lamesa. I seated at the right side near the Glass Door. At mayamaya'y nag si datingan na Ang mga ka-trabaho ko. Umupo sila sa kanya-kanyang upuan.

Habang masayang nag k-kwentuhan ay tahimik Lang akong nakikinig dahil I was distracted my this silly thoughts of mine.

My Strange Familiar neighbor will frequently appears in my head. 

Why can't I remove him from my thoughts!? Arrgg!! Kairita!

Hindi ko namalayan sinasabunotan ko na pala Ang sarili ko. Everyone's eyes were fixed at me. I cleared my throat and composed myself and pretending that nothing happened.
