I honestly hated today. I one Izumi Midoriya found myself hating the people and world around me. I had been made a fool of once again, and on top of that Bakugo, the only person I consider a friend also ended up blasting my hero Journal to Kingdom Come. He also ended up scolding me for thinking of going to UA and becoming a hero. I knew that he was right to do so which was why I wasn't to mad at him, but it still ruined my entire day. Honestly everybody around me thought I would fail my dream of becoming a hero. But what could I say. I knew the chances were slim for somebody normal like me.
I was now walking on my way home going underneath one of the bridges their. It was with my thoughts stuck up in the clouds that I didn't notice the abomination coming towards me. The worst nightmare of most girls. A tentacled, slime villain. "Girl, I want to thank you for coming here. You'll be great for a body. I'll be able to blend in among the crowds with no one noticing anything odd. Thankfully to save my dignity All-Might my favorite Hero appeared from the Skies.
"There's nothing to fear, for All Might is here." With a loud roar from the man, and a punch the slime was reduced in size and put into a small bottle. The stimulus from the muscular man, as well as the terror I just had to experience knocked me unconscious.
Waking up after a couple of minutes I came to noticing all-might signing one of my other journals. This one listing Villains and their powers and the perfect hero to counter each and everyone of them. Of course this list was only for the publically announced villains, or the ones I had saw and nicknamed myself.
With a stern look All Might looked at me. "Now young lady, I must go and take this villain away. I hope you can continue on with your day." Seeing the man about to leave I took a risk and grabbed his legs. "Please, can I ask you something."
Unfortunately for me the man had just jumped almost all the way towards the police station from here. Holding on for my dear life I started screaming. The Hero obviously noticing me seemed to sigh about the situation. Almost like it was a common occurrence. "You know you really shouldn't have grabbed a hold of me. Now let me set you down somewhere."
Within moments I finally found myself touching the roof of a building. "Do you think I can be a hero without a quirk?" A look crossed the man's face. One of pity I believe. "Unfortunately, I don't believe you can. I'm sorry about your situation, but we must be realistic with this. This governs the safety of your life, and also others. If you don't have the power to save the others you'll only cost the life or yourself and others around you." The news broke me. I hadn't considered how others might be affected by my choice. The effects it would have. I had only thought about the help I could give. Not of the damage I could cause.
It was at this time that All Might started to shrink. Watching the muscular man revert into a insomniac hobo like appearance I understood the harsh truth of this hero world. Sometimes even the strong are almost eliminated. What would me a weakling change.
"This here I gained from a battle with a certain villain years ago. Since then I have the been the reliability and hope for countless people. Now here I am bearing that burden with my broken body. What do you think would happen if you were the one facing that villain instead.
"Death." I mumbled to myself. "Well at least you understand." With that final message the man started walking away. Now what was I supposed to do. My one goal in life and been taken away from me, and any want I had in doing so was gone. Maybe I should just.
With a run I started going towards the side of the building, and with a jump I was off. I was going to go like a bird and be free from the this, but what about Bakugo, sure I knew he was annoying and mean. The only reason he was that way though was because he cared about me. What about my mom. My death would change her. I started regretting my decision but their was no way out now. I was doomed to die, and I would be the reason mom would probably go insane.
It was with my final denial to my fate that a miracle happened. A screen appeared before me after stopping time.
"Would You like to join the game.
Yes/No
Selecting no will unfreeze time and leave you to fend for your situation yourself."
Screaming yes out of fear for my life. I saw my life flash before my eyes as I was teleported out into a new world.
