9. Smile Flower

a/n: someone gave Jihoon a flower which made him smile. but seungcheol got angry at the one who gave Jihoon the flower since they originally had a plan and the boy ruined it by giving their precious bean a flower. idk if this is some kind of spoiler but ah what the heck.

3RD PERSON'S POV

After Jihoon and Wonwoo came back from the nurse's office, Mr. Do started the class with his usual, "Good morning class."

Soonyoung and Wonwoo just stared at the bandage wrapped around Jihoon's little wrist, not listening to what their adviser was teaching them. Just the thought of Jihoon being hurt made everyone in the classroom's blood boil, even Mr. Do since he hates looking at hurt students, especially if that hurt student is in his class.

"That's all, you can do pretty much everything you want now. I'll come by later to check on your wrist, Jihoon. Don't use your left wrist too much since it might become worse." Mr. Do said and his students nodded, with a smol "Yes sir!" from a smiling Jihoon

"How cute. No wonder you captured the hearts of the students and even the faculty of Pledis University." Mr. Do smiled at the thought and left the classroom

"You guys were there, why didn't you protect him?" Seungkwan glared at the four boys that were with Jihoon that time

"It's okay, Kwannie. Heechullie sunbae helped us." Jihoon said and the others were confused, even the four boys who witnessed what happened

"You're close friends with Heechul sunbaenim?" Mingyu asked and Jihoon nodded

"Well, I wouldn't say that I'm close friends with him but we're close acquaintances." Jihoon said

"Why?" Seokmin asked

"We met when I was in the mall last week. His friends, Lee Teuk, Shiwon and Yesung sunbaenim, came up to me and said they wanted to take a picture with me so I agreed since a picture wouldn't hurt. Then Heechul sunbaenim suggested that they would treat me for ice cream so I agreed again. His friends and Heechul sunbaenim told me they'd protect me from any harm." Jihoon explained which made the twelve boys nod

"Wanna go to the cafeteria?" Soonyoung asked and the boys nodded

They all positioned themselves like they're protecting the most fragile bean in the whole world. When they were walking to the cafeteria, they felt pairs of eyes looking at them. All of them got shocked when they saw Hweseung approaching them.

"How dare you show up in front of us after you hurt our Jihoonie!" Seungkwan showed his sass to Hweseung, who was now looking at Jihoon

"I-I did t-that?" Hweseung asked while pointing at Jihoon's bandage-covered wrist

"You're crazy." Jeonghan said while shaking his head, earning a 'tsk' from the boys who were beside Jihoon

Suddenly, Hweseung laughed like a psycho. He laughed like he was a mad man. Which made Jihoon shiver in fear and the students surrounding them look at Hweseung with judgement visibly seen in their eyes.

"He's a motherfucking faggot for fuck's sake. Why would you even defend a faggot?" Hweseung asked while pointing at Jihoon, who was now in the verge of crying

"Nothing's wrong with being homosexual. The only thing wrong is YOU since you're being a fucking racist, Hweseung." Chaeyoung, a girl from the 8th grade shouted

"Chae is right! You shouldn't judge people just because of their sexuality." Mina, Chaeyoung's classmate defended her

Because all the students in the hallway stood up for him, Jihoon can't help but cry and feel accepted for who he truly is. Minghao glanced at Jihoon and was surprised to see the small boy crying. So he decided to hug his hyung and comfort him.

Mingyu saw what happened and protected Jihoon too. He told the others that Jihoon was crying and the others told him to bring Jihoon to their classroom and that they would be the ones who would buy food.

"Bring Minghao with you since he's protecting Jihoon too." Jeonghan's motherly instincts suddenly became present because of Jihoon's sudden crying.

Minghao and Mingyu nodded and guided Jihoon back to their classroom.

"Why did you cry, Hoon?" Minghao asked Jihoon, who sat down his chair

"It's j-just that m-my old school n-never accepted m-me. I f-feel so accepted h-here." Jihoon said while sobbing

"People here are just like us." Minghao said while carefully caressing Jihoon's back

"I don't know if this could help but here, take this." Mingyu shyly gave Jihoon a flower, a sunflower to be exact

"Thanks, Minggu." Jihoon said while smiling

Minghao remembered their plan. He suddenly looked at Mingyu with a concerned face since he knows that the others would get angry at him.

Meanwhile, Jihoon just kept on smiling since Minghao and Mingyu told him jokes.

Soonyoung, Wonwoo, Seungcheol and Junhui hurriedly walked to their classroom, seeing Jihoon who was laughing with a sunflower on his desk.

"A sunflower?" Seungcheol whispered and looked at Mingyu

"What the hell, Kim Mingyu?!" Seungcheol whisper-yelled when he walked up to Mingyu's place

"Seungcheol, stop. At least Jihoon is happy." Junhui whispered while looking at Jihoon's direction, who was currently smiling with Soonyoung, Wonwoo and Minghao

"Tsk, fine. But I'm still angry, Kim Mingyu." Seungcheol briefly said and walked to Jihoon and the others

"It'll be okay, Mingyu." Junhui whispered while looking at Mingyu

"We're here!" Chan energetically said while holding the trays of foods they bought in the canteen

"Are you okay now, Jihoonie?" Jeonghan asked while giving Jihoon the food he bought for him

"I'm okay now, Hannie." Jihoon answered while taking the food from Jeonghan's grip and smiled as a 'Thank you' to the older

"Let's eat!" Soonyoung said and all the twelve boys shouted "Yes!" in unison

After eating, all they did was play games the whole day. Jihoon was secretly composing a song about his twelve classmates. 'Our Dawn Is Hotter Than Day'
