Chapter 5: Date?

Hey guys, been awhile! Sorry for the delay, hope you guys enjoy this chapter!

The address the doctor gave Harry brought him to a small manor. It was nothing like the Malfoy manor but it still had its class. Of course Malfoy would still live like a spoiled brat.

He rang the bell and all he got was silence. He rang it again and this time he heard a small voice yell 'coming'. A child? The door opened revealing a little girl. She had dirty blonde hair and wore a yellow tutu. "Hello!" She chirped looking up at Harry.

Did he get the wrong man after all?

"Um.. Hello, little miss. Is there an adult in the house?" Harry asked. Might as well find out for sure. The girl nodded "yup!" And she still stayed there looking at Harry with her big brown eyes. Who knew that a child could make the boy who lived so uncomfortable.

"Rose! Where are you?!" A voice called from inside the manor. "At the door! There's a boy!" the girl, Rose, shut the door in Harry's face while yelling back at the voice inside. What the hell?

Movement could be heard from the other side of the door and soon it was once again opened.

Right in front of Harry was no other than Draco Malfoy himself. "I'm sorry. We're still working on manners. What can I help you with?" Asked the blonde. Harry took a closer look at him. He seemed more relaxed and looked healthier than he last saw him. His hair wasn't as long as it was in his on file picture, it had the same style he had in sixth year. He wore muggle clothes which suited him but was still an odd sight. There was no angry scowl in his face and there was a child attached to his leg. He certainly didn't seem like the Malfoy he knew.

"Mate? You alright?" Draco snapped his fingers in front of Harry. "Oh! Uhm.. I.. I'm" Harry started confused at how the wizard in front of him seemed to not recognize him. He was ready to lie when Draco said something else.

"Oh! Are you the guy Liz was talking about? You're a little earlier than I expected for our date" the blonde said while looking down at his watch. Date? The blonde looked back up at him and gave him a small wave of his hand, "Let me be honest, I didn't really pay attention to Liz when she was talking about you. What's your name?"

"H-Harry." "Nice to meet you H-harry, I'm Tom" he looked him up and down. Harry noticed the kid did too. 'Tom' then looked at the small child that was still attached to his leg he raised a brow and she only shrugged her shoulders. What are they doing.

"Well Rose is gonna come with us today, her brother is stuck at work and can't pick her up, I hope you don't mind". Harry just shook his head. The blonde smiled making Harry a bit uneasy at how genuine it looked. "Okay, I got the tickets to the aquarium! Let me just get changed real quick, come in".

Harry walked in and the first thing he noticed was a family portrait by the entrance. What Harry found weird was that it held what appeared to be a couple, a daughter, and Malfoy. He looked about the age of 13-14 in the portrait. What's going on here? He wanted to look further into the house but he noticed a blur of yellow in the corner of his eye. It was the girl, Rose. "Um.. hello" he waved at her.

Rose walked closer to Harry until she was standing in front of him and waved him down. Once Harry was closer to her level she cupped her hands to whisper in his ear. "Tom is mine and Danny's and mommy's! You can't take Tom!" Harry pulled back both surprised and confused. The child just did "I see you" motions with her hand while walking backwards.

Harry didn't get to dwell on the child's words as 'Tom' entered the room with a fresh look. He wore a green polo shirt with a light jean jacket, since although it was summer it was pretty cloudy outside, and some skinny jeans. Although it was weird seeing the pure blood in muggle clothing, he didn't look bad. "Alright, let's go." Harry snapped out of his slight daze and followed the pair out the door.

Once outside the blonde turned to him. "I hope you don't mind taking the tube. I just got out of a cast and to be quite honest I can't remember if I even got a license." Harry just nodded and followed them.

(Quick fact: I've never been there. Just typing what I found on their website side and from personal experience in other aquariums)

Harry was really questioning his life. Here he was, in the London Sea Life Aquarium with a jellyfish hat holding an ice cream cone. The two blondes were dragging him all over the place.

Don't get him wrong, he was having fun but he was originally there for work. He had tried asking Malfoy questions about magic and magical creatures which only earned him a laugh every time. He had to add small talk about other topics just so he wouldn't come out as a wacko. It was like the blonde didn't even know he was a wizard. At first he thought maybe Malfoy was pretending, but he looked so.... genuine? It was nothing like the blonde he knew from back at Hogwarts.  And whenever he tried to get his full attention, Rose would come over and drag him away to see a fish she found funny or a glowing jellyfish. He started getting a bit aggravated with the girl.

They had explored most of the sea life and the whole rainforest area. Although magical creatures seemed more interesting (and deadly), Harry as still amazed by the crocodiles and sharks.

Eventually they entered the kiddy play section. Rose went of to touch the little sea creatures in the small pool area leaving the two alone. "So.... Mal-Tom, Tom. Um how's life treating you?" Really Harry? Malfoy turned to him and shrugged. "Alright I guess. I'm assuming Liz told you about my accident?" "Kinda. A car crash from what I heard".
"Yup" the blonde turned to face Harry completely. "Look, Harry. You seem like a nice guy but I don't think this can actually become something. The crash... well I don't remember close to anything since then". The raven head frown. "What do you mean?". "The doctors say I have amnesia. Which seems to fit. Look I can't be in a relationship when I'm a mess right now. So... friends?" The blonde extended his hand.The gesture reminded him of first year, before he was sorted. Harry shook his hand and gave him a smile, "friends, although I don't think you're a mess". The two smiled at each other while looking into the others eyes when Rose pushed herself in between them.
"Tom! I touched an aneme-anemene! An aneneme-" "An anemone?" "Yes! And a crab! And a star fish! Oooh! Can we go touch the rays?! PLEASE?!" the hyper child jumped up and down already drawing the two to the day section without hearing an answer. He turned his head to look at the laughing blonde who's eyes looked very different from the guarded silver he was used to and smiled to himself.
