Adonis

Adonis was orphaned at a small age, so he did not remember his real parents. He was taken in by a family of cyclopes who were very cruel to him. They treated him as a slave and made Adonis do all of the chores. Adonis wanted to run away but he didn't know what to do. How would he fend for himself? So he stayed with the one-eyed beasts. Finally, at the age of 18 the oldest cyclopes, Arges pulled him aside.

"You can leave now Adonis you are of age we can no longer keep you here." Adonis was shocked. The cyclopes were never nice he never thought they would let him go, but where would he go? "Here take this ship. Sail to the kingdom Callaxo. Your real parents were king and queen you are a prince and the rightful king of Callaxo."

Adonis wasted no time grabbing the supplies he needed, jumping on that ship, and sailing away. He was grateful to the cyclopes even though they didn't treat him well they still provided shelter.

While Adonis was sailing he realized he didn't know where Callaxo was. Adonis started to panic until he saw land. Quickly, he started on his way towards the strange island. When landed he jumped off his ship and sprinted into the island looking for civilization. While he was looking around he heard noises. He walks in the direction of the sound. This leads him to a clearing with troll-like people all in a circle that seem to be kicking and punching someone or something.

Adonis soon notices that inside the circle is a Centaur. The poor creature seems to be curled up and taking the beatings. Adonis decided that he needed to intervene. He jumps into the middle of the circle, sword drawn. Then looks at the hostile troll-like people. They looked like they were gonna attack me but once they saw my sword they all ran away. I helped the centaur up. He wobbled but was able to stand.

"You saved me, brave knight! What is your name?" The centaur exclaimed.

"I am Adonis, king of Callaxo, but I am lost can you help me find my way." The centaur looked proud as he nodded.

"I am Basair the Centaur and I will help you for you have helped me." and on that note, they headed for Callaxo. When they got on the ship Basair exclaimed. "TO CALLAXO!" which made Adonis laugh. Basair and Adonis were becoming great friends.

After three days and three nights, Adonis and Basair finally made it to Callaxo, or at least what was left of it. Callaxo was in ruins. They both landed on the shore and looked very confused. They started to walk into the kingdom. They didn't see any people. It was almost like everyone just disappeared. Soon they ran into a giant! The giant looked mad when he saw the two. Adonis shouted at the beast.

"Were you the one who did this! Did you turn my beautiful kingdom to ruins?" The giant did not answer he just swung at the two. They both ran for their lives. Then Adonis got an idea and whisper it to Basair.

Adonis led the giant to the edge of the kingdom where a large cliff lay. He climbed a large tree to be eye level with the giant. He jumped onto the giant and while it was struggling to get him off Basair was bellow and he pulled a vine to make the giant trip. As the giant was falling Adonis jumped as far as he could. He landed right on the edge of the mountain and was losing balance. Basair bit onto Adonis' shirt and helped him. Adonis smiled and thanked him.

Adonis looked up and noticed that people were emerging from everywhere out of the ruins. They were all surrounding Adonis and Basair, thanking them for saving their lives. Adonis shushed them so he could speak.

"This is Basair the Centaur, and I am Adonis the rightful king of Callaxo. I was thrown out at a young age and was forced to live with cyclopes, but I am here now." Everyone started cheering, for their king has returned, and they all lived happily ever after.
