A/N: IDK what this little thing is, but its written and I kind of adore it. There will be a part 2 with a lemon added to it but for now enjoy this sweet little part 1
The house was empty. It felt cold, everything was dark. He let out a heavy sigh as he took off his jacket and shoes. Walking to the thermostat to turn up the heat, walking by the kitchen and remembering the times he would come home to find (Y/n) already had started on dinner and would be dancing around the kitchen typically with a wine glass in hand. Never knowing that he had been watching her from the doorway and smiling to himself wondering how he got so lucky. Only ever knowing he was home when he wrapped his arms around her waist.
He could still hear her laughter, the way that it once filled up their home. But now it was just quiet.
A heavy sigh left his lips as he made his way down the hall, running his fingers along the pictures on the wall, pausing at one.
Smiling as he saw the grin on her face, both of their faces. They had just bought the house. She was on his back while he had been struggling to take a selfie, he remembered when he finally got something decent...or so he thought. When the photo was finally printed, she could not hold back the laughter as she looked at the picture. Half of his face had been cut out of the frame and it was basically just her with the keys in front of their faces. Not to mention how close the camera was to their faces. None the less she refused to get rid of the photo and demanded that it was to be hung up.
"Damn it" he muttered as he walked further down the hallway, finally coming to their bedroom. This was the first time all week that he had even stepped in the room. The bed was still a mess from when they both got the call in the middle of the night. Jumping from the bed to answer the emergency call that had gone out. Neither of them talking much as they were still so groggy but still got dressed.
Stepping further into the room he shuffled over to his side of the bed. Laying down and felt her side of the bed, rolling over slightly and grasped her pillow. Catching her scent.
He gripped the pillow a little tighter as the events of that night flashed through his mind. The league of villains had attacked in the middle of the night. They had moved sooner than the information had previously said. Nobody was ready for what they were facing. Everything happened so fast, there was a giant explosion and a blinding light.
"Kirishima! It's (Y/n) sh-she just...everything happened so quick I couldn't..." The words of Todoroki played in my head over and over again, that loud sound, the bright light. My heart was pounding as I ran along the streets trying to avoid all the rubble and debris that continued to fall. Why am I running so slow? Why was I not with her? Why did we even split up to begin with?!
The sound of his phone ringing brought him back to reality as he dug the phone from his pocket. He did not recognize the number as his finger danced over the green button before finally pressing it and let out a heavy sigh. He was exhausted to say the least.
"Hello?"
"Hi uhm- Mr. Red Riot?"
"Yes?"
"Its about (Y/n)..."
There was a long pause. Kirishima felt his palms suddenly become sweaty. His mouth went dry and a cold chill ran through his body.
"She's starting to respond-"
"She's awake?!" He managed to speak and swung his legs to the side of the bed.
"Almost...She's starting to respond to some of the physical tests. But she has not woken up fully...It's too soon to say for certain. Please stay home and rest. If anything happens you will be the first to know." The doctor spoke, Kirishima muttered a small thank you before hanging up the phone and rolled back onto his side. Into the previous position.
"You'll be okay baby" He whispered to himself.
She had to be okay. She was his everything.
