Luffy x blind fem! reader

You're just a normal girl trying to live your life as a normal person. You love your job, and you love animals and kids (If you don't like kids, then I'm so so sorry!). But what made you different than other people in this island is that you were blind. You were since birth, but growing up your vision started to become worse and worse. To the point where you became blind, but that didn't stop you, oh no FAR from that. Your mother thought it would be nice to give you a guide dog, you IMMEDIATELY fell in love with said doggo.

Now you may be asking, what's your job? Well even though you may be blind, you have really good hearing. It's to the point where you can tell how people are feeling by their voice or by their heartbeat (....Did you get the reference? No? Okay imma shut up now). You were a therapist, now you may think would people in this island feel sorry for you? No, actually they were proud since you didn't let something like your blindness get in your way of helping others, and that's what made you love them.

You were doing your daily chores (since it was your day off), and your dog was with you helping you out. After you were finished, you decided to take a stroll around the city. You were enjoying your walk, sometimes buying some things that were necessary. Until you felt the leash feel loose, then hear a growl. Why is (d/n) acting-- you stopped your self questioning when you heard a second heartbeat. You knew everyone's heartbeat in this island, so when you hear another that didn't sound familiar, you knew there a visitor in this island. You started shaking up since this heartbeat was different from any other you heard, this one seemed like it wanted nothing but killing. "Oi lady, can you show me where the bar is at?" The male asked, you nodded and grabbed his hand, as you did you whistled to your dog to help you with the direction and he did (because he's a good doggo :3).

Once you feel the leash not being pulled, you knew that your dog came to a stop so you did as well. As you heard laughter and the fresh smell of booze, "Thanks a bunch lady, see ya." The male said as your the clank of some around his waist maybe a swordsman? You thought to yourself. You whistled to your dog, telling him that it's time to go home. He started tugging as you followed. A few minutes later you two more heartbeats, one of 'em had a pure melody to it as if they were filled with cheer, and the other sounded calm and quite happy. "Excuse me" a feminine voice said. "I was wondering if you could help us find the book store." She asked, you nodded smiling this time as (d/n) barked, but wasn't a be-careful-before-I-fight-you type of bark. More like a you-seem-friendly type a bark. "Ah hey there (d/n) it's nice to meet you!" Said the other with a pure heart. "How do you know my dog's name if you don't mind me asking?" You questioned. "That's because I can speak to animals, since I used to be one before I ate the hito-hito no mi." The creature said. He even sounds pure. You thought smiling even wider.

"Oh okay, I'll be more than happy to show you where the---" you were cut off when you heard a booming voice "Oi Robin, Chopper!" Yelled a third voice, his heartbeat sounded happy and some-what innocent as the other one. "Hm? Who's that?" Asked the male. "My name is (y/n), it's nice to meet you." You say, slightly bowing. "Well my name is Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm going to become the king of the pirates!" He practically yelled, you giggled at his goofiness.

"That's an amazing dream you have there, Luffy." You say to male, still smiling. You truly did think that was a beautiful dream, but it also seemed like a painful one as well. "I know right?? Say join my crew" Luffy said with pride in his words. "That would be great, but I have patience that I have to meet with tomorrow." You replied kindly declining his request. "Well I refuse your refusal." He shot back. So he's the type of person who would do anything for his family and friends, interesting you thought. "You are you implying to quit my job?" You say, but didn't get response back. Instead you felt a rubbery substance around your wait and you were pulled close to his chest. You felt your cheeks heat up a bit. "But Mr. Luffy, how would I be of any use? I'm blind and I can't fight as much as you might think, that's why I have a guide dog." You told him, wondering the type of response or reaction he would give you. "Shishishi, it doesn't matter if you're blind! I'll protect you and my crew can probably teach some self defense things, so don't worry." He said, you were moved by his words. Sure the people around were accepting, but he some how made you feel a certain way.

"Okay okay, but I just need to collect my stuff and have to inform the others of me quiting." You say, slightly upset about leaving your job, but you were quite curious about the life outside of your island.

After you were finished saying your goodbye's to the people close to you, Luffy and (d/n) helped you find your way to the docks.

Once you got on board the ship, Luffy introduced his crew. Then you heard the same menacing heartbeat as you did before. "Oh it's you." Said the male, he sounded quite in shock but didn't seem the one to express. "Do you know her, Zoro?" Questioned Usopp, "Yeah she helped me find the way to the bar..." He replied.

After the introduction and the tour. Luffy yelled you for a party to celebrate a new member. In all honesty, you never once in your life did you think that you would join a pirate group, but your younger self would have been proud.
