everyone knew that killua and gon were inseparable. whenever you saw one, the other was surely following behind. that was until killua had left.
exactly three years had passed since killua had left to look after his sister. 1095 days. the white haired boy explained that he needed to find somewhere safe for them, and that place wasnt whale island. when thinking about the day, gon cant help but cry. he missed his best friend so much.
the silly pranks he would pull. his love for chocolate robots. his strength, his messy hair, his piercing blue eyes, the weird way he walked around, how he got flustered so easily, he missed it all more than anything in the world.
over these three years gon had been writing letters about his days and how much he missed killua, hoping one day he would be able to return to whale island once more. he would write about his days, how lonely he felt, or how boring it was without him around. sometimes it would be short, sometimes it would be long.

hey killua! today i went with aunt mito to the lake! i showed her how to fish today! she did really good for her first time! then she made a special dinner! i dont know what it was called but it had fish and some other stuff :)!!!!
hey killua, i thought a lot today. crazy right? but we are 15 now. i know its probably weird but i cant ever stop thinking about you, and today i realized im in love with you. i love all the small things about you that i dont love about other people, like i really love your eyes when youre doing something you enjoy, and i love how soft your hair is. everytime i think about these things my heart stings. sometimes i feel like i will never see you again, and it hurts. i really do miss you killua, and even if you decide to come back in another three years, or even thirty years, ill be waiting right here.
