Prologue

Planet Earth was completely inhabitable due to the pollution caused by the human beings habiting it. The protective ozone layer which protected the living beings from the harmful rays of the sun was completely destroyed, the soil was poisoned ,the air a mixture of poisonous gases and the water nothing but toxic waste. Many living creatures died due to these conditions among which were the humans themselves. 

The polar ice melted causing massive floods which consumed islands and coastal regions ,wiping off whole populations and erasing  countries off the world map. The rain completely acidic destroyed anything it fell upon, thousands of forests were burned , millions of lives were taken. Many animals from the largest elephant to the smallest ant were lost forever. 

 Skin cancer, Lung cancer, Leukemia ,Thalassemia and many such diseases claimed  the lives of thousands of human beings. And due to the death of plants and animals ,the famine  killed thousands more . So many people were buried under the Earth that there was no place to burry more. Some were kept in special metal buildings ,some were burned to ashes , but many people were left unburied ,their decomposing bodies adding to the toxicity of the air . 

The Earth was in complete chaos .The Earth once a place of beauty and growth had transformed into hell. 

The leaders of the Earth gathered together in alarm ,discussing  about the present conditions and crafting plans for the protection of the humans. They all knew the Earth was to far gone to rejuvenate and  they needed a new planet to survive. The head scientist of  the largest scientific research company on Earth was tasked with the job .

After years of sending probes and machines into outer space and searching for a habitable planet ,the scientist found a habitable planet in another solar system. The planet had an atmosphere and it's features resembled the earth slightly ,the differences being that it  completely was barren and the amount of oxygen and water were very less as compared to the Earth .But the planet was there only chance of survival ,so it was chosen for habitation. 

The surviving human were gathered and a large spaceship to accommodate everyone was built. And after travelling through space for many months or maybe years ,everyone had lost their sense of time, they reached the planet that the scientist had named Salvos, which was Latin for survival  .

Oxygen plants were built for the conversion of the atmospheric gases to Oxygen and plants for the purification of the water were built. As much as scientist tried ,they couldn't grow plants their as the land was so barren that nothing was capable of growing. Scientist had to make the nutrients needed for humans survival artificially and such factories who could make these nutrients were built across the planet for the people . 

Months passed, Years passed , a century passed away and the humans became accustomed to the planet but even though they had adopted themselves to Salvos, they still longed for their old planet Earth. 

So each year , a group of 20 young astronauts was sent to check the conditions on Earth, and to bring back samples and other such information about the Earth ,so they could see if it is inhabitable again.

This year ,a new group of astronauts will be sent to perform the operation, but what will happen when one among them is an imposter ?
