Prompt: Trophy finds Taco in the forest and she tells him everything as he listens and comforts her. Fluff. Kinda angst. Objects.

No one's POV

Trophy was walking through the halls of the hotel, hands full from OJ giving him 3 big boxes to carry to the storage room. Of course, the golden prize argued with the juice but, since he was the owner of the hotel, you can guess that Trophy didn't exactly win.

The storage room was a separate building from the hotel, it was a little shack next to the forest. He walked over to it, almost tripping multiple times from the lack of vision of what was in front of him. When he arrived at of the little building, he took the keys that OJ gave him and opened the door, putting the boxes in a random corner of the shack. He looked around the almost empty room. Even if it was a storage space, there was almost nothing in it except the scratch marks on the walls from Yang being trapped in there every time TestTube had to separate him and Yin. She put him in there as to not cause any trouble.

As Trophy was walking out of the shack and closing the door behind him, he heard the crunching of leaves coming from the forest. He bolted his head in the direction the sound was coming from and looked at the dark trees. He started walking towards the commotion until he saw a small yellow figure. He immediately knew who it was and hid behind some bushes looking at the former Inanimate Insanity contestant, Taco.

The small ball of fury was hitting the tree with a quick non-stop motion. Every punch was powerful and full of anger. To the normal eye all of her punches were the same, but not to Trophy.

The golden prize has always liked taking photos and understanding nature and what it represents. It's something necessary for a good photographer, one must always know what the nature's various calls mean. He always felt the need to understand what was around him, but he never tried to understand himself, neither did he want to.

That being said, he could see what Taco's aggressive actions meant. One punch meant hurt, another one meant anger, another one meant sadness, left and right, right and left. She was nonverbally spitting out tangled emotions everywhere. It was all too familiar to Trophy, he did the same when he got eliminated.

Taco kept punching for a while, her pace not changing at all until, out of nowhere, with a final desperate blow, she fell to the ground. This took Trophy by surprise since up until now the small british woman hadn't show any signs of stopping. He was about to leave and let her be when he heard light sobbing. He looked back at Taco, shocked. He froze. He wanted to leave and just go away, but something.. something wasn't letting him do that. Maybe it was the fact that he never dealt with someone crying or.. perhaps.. it was because he was in the same position once.

As said before, this was all to familiar to him, the anger burst and then the collapsing sadness. When he got eliminated, he was furious that he left the game that early. He blamed Knife for everything and when others tried to tell him that the blade did nothing wrong, Trophy would turn a blind eye. Only with time did he accept that maybe blackmailing him wasn't the right decision and maybe the golden prize was.. partly to blame ,but even now he still stood by the idea that he himself did nothing wrong.

Trophy stood there, not really knowing how to react. He tried to clear his mind and think about this logically. He sighed and started walking out of the bush. Taco turned around immediately.

"WH- Who's there!?" She asked, her vision still being a bit blurry from the tears in her eyes.

Trophy looked at her with pity, she had an angry and fierce face but, her furious expression was just a mask, one that disguised her sadness, the tears were painfully obvious.

"Hey, uh, it's me Troph-" He started but never finished as Taco interrupted him.

"Trophy, yes, I know. I know all of the contestants." She said clearing her throat. Taco looked away suddenly realizing she came highly unprepared, with no weapons other then her fists, which, by the way, had splinters and scratch marks all over them. After some time of sitting in silence, she spoke again. "I'll go."

Taco knew that she couldn't afford to argue with Trophy. No, she wasn't afraid of him but she was also not an idiot and knew that the size mattered in battle, so did the material that they were both made out of. Her shell was already cracked and she didn't really want a new injury. Taco got ready to leave, turning around and awkwardly starting to walk away until she felt a very cautious hand on her shoulder.

She turned her head swiftly and looked up at the towering golden prize. Trophy looked in another direction, struggling to reach the shorter ones' shoulder without looking like he was forcing himself. It was hard to look casual in that moment due to height reasons. He took a deep breath and started speaking:

"Look, I know that we're not friends and it's completely out of character for me but... uh, wanna sit and.. uhm, tell me what's wrong?" He looked embarrassed and unsure, not making any sort of eye-contact with Taco. She looked at him with disbelief and doubt, but, after a while of thinking, came to the conclusion that she needed it. Taco nodded and Trophy sat down next to a tree, patting the grass next to him. The smaller one took the request and sat next to him.

Like that, Taco started to tell the prize everything that happened, with Microphone, Knife, everything. She made me promise I wouldn't say anything though since, for some reason, she said she still considered Mic one of the only people who actually gave her a chance even though she knew who Taco really was. To be honest, the small woman missed her loud-mouthed companion a lot, even though she tried acting like she didn't. Trophy just stood there and listened, being fascinated by the hidden plot that almost no one knew about.

In time, Taco started to get tired and without realizing, she began to lean against Trophy until her words started to trail away. In a matter of minutes, she fell asleep. Trophy looked at her, a smile creeping on his face, he didn't even mind what was happening, he just let her sleep in peace. They stood like that for some time until Taco started fidgeting uncomfortably in her sleep. Trophy picked her up gently and placed her small body in his lap, letting the little woman rap her arms around his body, snuggling up against him. In that moment, Trophy remembered all the stories others told him about her, that she was evil and was only driven by greed but, to Trophy, Taco was just a misunderstood person who did bad things and now that she finally kind of regrets them, doesn't know what to do. Trophy however didn't care what they said, all he knew was..

This was the most gentle embrace he has ever felt.
