Promt: Nickel is confused about what he did but his massive ego won't let him apolagise so he tells the concerned Baseball about it. Fluff. Angst. Humanised.

// TW: Mentions of neglecting behaviour from parents. Depression.

•Little tiny disclaimer: For this chapter I made my own AU of Nickel's life before the competition. If you do not like stories that implement fake scenarios and things that aren't entirely accurate to the show, especially when it comes to how I depicted Nickel, this might not be the chapter for ya! Also this is before season 3! Thank you! (It may also be a vent but shush)

No one's POV

It was quiet in the hotel, the only actual sound being the rain outside, the water droplets that crashed onto the window surface with a calming rhythm, comforted the little grey haired boy that stood in the middle of it all.

Nickel was laying on the cold grass, letting the rain fall on him slowly with the wind blowing through his hair. He liked sitting in the rain sometimes, it was the only thing that cleared his mind. He liked to think that the reason he feelt so clear minded at this time was because the rain washed away the thoughts with a wave of freedom and relaxation.

As depressing as it might seem, he wasn't sad nor down in any way, he was just confused. Nickel did some...pretty bad things and he didn't really know how to feel. It's been a while since he got eliminated but he still couldn't get over it.

'Did I really hurt them that bad?' Thought Nickel as he looked up at the dark clouds above him. He stood there, thinking about the past, something that was unnatural for him, something he cringed at a lot.

To be honest, he didn't like what he did, he felt sorry for it, he just didn't know what to say or do. He's never felt like this before. Back at his own home, no one really paid attention to him so there was nothing to feel sorry for. He's always been extremely angry and egotistical, he never really apologized to anyone in his whole entire life. He wanted someone to explain all these emotions to him and he knew the right person.

Baseball POV

I was sitting on the grass with my back laid against the tree, looking at the sky and mumbling some songs I remembered from my youth. I suddenly heard someone approaching and I turned my head around to face the new-comer. I was greeted with the sight of a blonde girl by the name of Lightbulb. She was a very nice person, non-problematic, positive, helpful, so when I saw who it was, I slightly smiled. Me and her were never really friends but we did go through a lot in these past two seasons so there was a comforting relationship between us. The girl looked at me for a second and started speaking:

"Hey, double B, I've got a message for ya." Lightbulb said in her usual goofy tone. I tilted my head a bit.

"What is it Lightbulb?" I asked, stretching my back from being in that one position for such a long time.

"Nickel wants to see you in the forest, at the cliff, at sunset!" She said getting closer. I looked at her, wide eyed. Nickel is looking for me? Is he even allowed to be in the show parameters?

"Wait but didn't OJ and MePhone say that the hotel residents aren't allowed to meet us? Something about helping each other out and cheating?" I asked standing up, towering over the girl in front of me. Lightbulb shrugged.

"I dunno. All I know is that apparently he had a talk with OJ, who then had a talk with MePhone so... Have a good time with him BB, see ya!" She said as she skipped away while starting to sing a happy melody.
