3rd person POV:
Jen met with Mister Chan as he was trimming a banzai tree.
Jen: Mister Chan?
Mister Chan: Hmm?
Jen: Have you ever heard of this group called Toja?
Mister Chan: Where you hear that name?
Jen: A couple of guys tried to take Kai and me. We beat them up, of course.
Mister Chan: So they come... Why now...?
Jen: You do know something?
Mister Chan: Yes.
Jen: So tell me!
Mister Chan: Tell me. What do you know about your parents?
Jen: Huh? What do they have to do with this?
Mister Chan: Oh, nothing important besides being the reason itself.
Jen:...
Mister Chan: Okay, okay, I explain.
(Opening theme)
Kai nervously stood behind his desk. All he desired right now was to get home as soon as possible. But once Rose entered the classroom, what Kai wanted slightly changed. He wanted to apologize to Rose so she wouldn't hate him anymore, then get home as quickly as possible.
When Rose sat at her desk, next to his, Kai opened his mouth to try to apologize, however, Rose flicked a folded up piece of paper at his forehead that landed on his desk.
Rose:(whispers) Open it.
Kai:?
Doing as he was told, Kai opened the folded up piece of paper to see it was a note.
Kai: "Ro-
Rose punched him in the shoulder.
Rose:(whispers) Not out loud, dipshit!
Kai: S-sorry...
The note read...
"Roof. During lunch. Or else."
Kai:?
Looking towards Rose, she gave him no further detail.
He became nervous, but none the less, he pushed himself to go.
So later, during lunch, he went up to the roof, where he was met with Rose herself.
Kai: H-hello...
Rose: I'm going to cut to the chase. I saw you beat up those 5 thugs the other day.
Kai: Thugs....?
Not quite sure what she was talking about, Kai then assumed she meant the Toja thugs.
Kai: Oh...
Rose: So you can drop this shy, wimpy kid act. I know you're this stone-cold, badass fighter.
Kai: N-no... You d-don't understand. Th-this isn't an act...
Rose: Yeah right.
Kai: I'm serious... I lost my medallion a-and... Lost control...
Rose: Uh-huh, whatever.
Rose: The reason I asked you here is that I need you.
Kai: Y-you... Need me...?
