THIRD PERSON POV

"hey" the curly-haired boy smiled, trying to get the girl's attention.

"oh, good evening sir, what can i do for you?" she replied, smiling back.

"uh, nothing, just wanted to have a little chat." she nodded in response, standing on the other side of the counter.

"um, what's your name?" he asked, trying to get to know her. it wasn't like he was hitting on her or anything, he was just bored.

"i'm y/n, you?"

"finn"

"as in like, the dude from adventure time?" she laughed, playing along with the conversation.

"yeah, sure. i'm finn, as in the dude from adventure time"

"is it your first time here, adventure time boy?"

"yeah, first time here, and first time in a bar"

"how old are you? you seem far too old for it being your first time" she joked.

"i'm 25. i don't know, i have like, one friend, so that kind of explains that"

"so you're lonely? or just anti-social?"

"bit of both" chuckles both flew out of their mouths as the small talk goes on.

that is, until someone walks in.

Y/N'S POV

"hold on, there's a customer" i whispered to my newfound friend.

"good evening, sir, what can i-"

oh my god.

"jaeden?" i asked, furrowing my brows.

"oh, y/n? i didn't know you worked here" he smiled, turning a light shade of pink.

"i actually have been for around a year now. how's your life going?"

"well, i moved to the united kingdom, studied university there, and now i'm looking for a job, but i wanted to take a small 3-month break"

"that's amazing, jae! it's been forever"

"it really has" he smiled, pausing.

"hey, do you want to hang out sometime? i really missed you" jaeden continued, stroking his hair.

"yeah, sure! maybe tomorrow? it's my day off tomorrow so-"
