letting go.

THIRD PERSON POV

louis noticed that the same guy from last night had walked in, looking around.

he was the guy y/n was having a great time with.

he grew jealous, but knew that y/n would choose him over a random customer she had known for less than a day.

he noticed that finn was waiting for someone.

could it be y/n? he thought to himself, going up to the boy with raven locks.

"what would you like?"

"i'll just have a beer, thanks"

as louis pulled a beer from the small fridge, he had a feeling that finn had been waiting for y/n.

"here you go, enjoy" he smiled, putting the beer on the counter as finn handed him some money.

he gulped down the beer in what looked like seconds, before a familiar figure stormed in.

y/n? he thought to himself.

he was right, but confused as well, as it was her day off.

he watched her walk up to finn, as they struck a small conversation, before walking out of the bar.

maybe he was jealous.

but why would he be? he's only y/n's co-worker anyway.

~

as he walked into his small, studio apartment, he plopped down on his bed, thinking about what he had witnessed.

maybe i am too late.

if only i wasn't such a pussy.

he wanted y/n.

but now he's too late, and he knows y/n pretty well, and by the looks of it,

he could tell she was starting to gain interest on the tall, skinny, curly-haired boy.

and he hated it.

he absolutely despised it.

but what could he do, really?

he was just another person in y/n's life, without her knowing how much he truly cared for her.

a small tear trickled down his left cheek, which led to another,

and another,

and another.

he had to let her go,

he had to stop.

he had lost her, he knew he had.

but could you really lose someone you never had in the first place?

JAEDEN'S POV

"i'm sorry jae"

sorry? she was sorry?

i waited for her.

five whole fucking years.

i tried.

i fucking tried, but i guess it just wasn't enough.

i stood there, letting the music play as everything started to sink in.

i never stood a chance.

i was never good enough.

five whole years,

and i only realized now.

i sighed, swallowing not only the bubble in my throat, but also all the memories.

i would take her out on small dates, but of course, she thought they were just friendly hangouts.

i still know her coffee order.

a large vanilla iced coffee, with three pumps of caramel syrup, with some caramel drizzle.

i smiled a hurt smile, re-living all the memories as tears started flowing down my cheek.

i didn't dare make a noise.

i left without saying goodbye, even though i knew it would be the last time she'd see me.

i'm going back to the UK.

never coming back.

as i walked into my car, everything hit me like a truck.

"goodbye y/n"

THIRD PERSON POV

"goodbye y/n" he whispered to himself, starting the car.

not knowing that it was his final goodbye.

not only to y/n, but to everyone, and everything else.

as the rain poured down, he sped down the highway, not looking at the road.

his sobs became louder, as his breathing and heart rate started speeding up intensely.

"I FUCKING WAITED!" he cried out, hitting his steering wheel.

boom.
