"It's you, isn't it?" I tilted my head downwards to where he would be.

"I can tell." I tried to pat his head, putting my hand 6 inches down from the top of my head. He was always a lot shorter than me. I remember out height difference right down to the millimeter.

"K-Kichi... I-I missed you so much... I-"

The realization began to set in.

My eyes widened. I collapsed to the floor into a crying mess. I missed him so much, and he's there. In front of me. I can't imagine how long he's waited for me.

"P-PLEASE, FORGIVE ME, IM SO SORRY, IT WAS ALL AN ACT."

"YOU'LL NEVER BE ALONE AGAIN, I PROMISE! I NEED YOU, I LOVE YOU! I CAN'T TAKE YOU NOT BEING AROUND A-ANYMORE!"

He appeared, out of nowhere. As soon as he saw the surprise on my face, he put a bittersweet smile on his face as tears began to form in his eyes.

His eyes. His big, beautiful, purple eyes. There wasn't a day I went without thinking about them. When I was bored, or sad, I would draw them on paper, but when I was finished and I looked back at it, I would burst into tears, what I just drew being another reminder he wasn't with me anymore.

I glanced behind me.

The realization began to set in.

My eyes widened. I collapsed to the floor, a crying mess. I missed him so much, and there he was, finally, standing right in front of me. I cant imagine how long he's waited for this moment, the moment where I see him.

He walked over to my powerless body, and hugged me. He was so warm, and he smelled like grape soda, just like he used to. He glanced down at me with tears streaming down his face, causing them to glimmer in the sunlight from my window as they dripped down his chin onto the top of my head.

"It appears you died of heartbreak, my beloved Saihara-chan." Said the purple-haired small boy I've been in love with for the past 4 years.

His voice echoed through my almost-empty room, seeming to also echo through my skull while I finally realized I was dead.

Another realization.

I began to feel sick. All these things happening at once, it made my head spin and it caused my thoughts to land on my brain like raindrops from a cloud. One after another,

Ping.
Ping.
Ping.

I was dead.
Kokichi is standing in front of me.
It's been 4 years since I've seen him.

"H-hey K-kichi," I managed to mutter between sniffles.

"Hey, Saihara-chan." He looked at me, smiling with pure ecstasy.

"It's been a while, hasn't it?"

"It sure has. You have nooo idea how long I've waited here, always following you around. It was kind of boring, to be honest."

"I would expect that." I finally calmed my senses. His warmth helped too. "What do we do now?"

"Well, in the afterlife, you can't move on unless you have what you desired most. We can move on now, since the only thing you wanted was people who were dead, and they're not something you can achieve, but you can move on if you have one of them, which just so happens to be me."

I stood up, tilting my head down so I could see him, tears still shining on his cheeks, pouring out like waterfalls from his eyes. He tilted his head up.

"Does that mean I'm-"

He stood on his tippy-toes and placed his lips on mine, eyes closed. He put his hands on the back of my neck, and with that, I closed my eyes too. We stayed like that for at least 5 seconds.

"Your breath smells like panta, Kichi."

"Awh man, did I ruin our moment?"

"I never said it was a bad thing, it's quite nostalgic in the best way possible, to be honest."

"Good~"

He kissed me again, this time with more passion, and this time I was ready. I placed my hands on his waist and pulled away, looking him in the eyes.

His eyes. So beautiful and deep.

"I thought about your eyes everyday, did you know that?"

"Mhm, I always saw you draw them. It always hurt seeing you cry." He said, resting his head on my chest. It cradled it with my arms, placing them on his shoulders.

"You look the same." I was puzzled that he did. Don't you age when you die?

"You don't age when you're dead, Saihara-chan."

"Oh, that makes sense. I'm glad, I never really wanted to be an old person."

"Nishishi, me neither! Twinsies!" He grinned, his perfect, cute, little grin that makes my stomach feel like it's about to fly away with the amount of butterflies that are in it.

"Hey, Shumai, d'ya remember when I told you that you were my first love?"

"Of course I do, it made me flustered as all hell."

He blushed. "Nishishi... ok, well, do you wanna be my.. second in command, until the end of time?"

"I would love to, Mr. Ultimate Supreme Leader."

There was a beaming light seeable through the cracks in between my door and the frame. Was that the afterlife?
We kissed once again, and held hands. I opened the door, the light was blinding, so much so we had to shield our eyes scrunched closed with our hands. We walked into it, and there we went, off to whatever's after death.
