The welcoming event lasted about two hours which included dozens of gossiping and whispering from the boys and my bestfriends—which, thankfully, went unnoticed by the teacher.
I grinned as I flee out of the auditorium, realizing that I had history for the first class. I enjoyed history because it was a fun subject to me. There's no calculating, drawing, or anything else; it's like some sort of story telling that happened in the past about the reality of the word, and I happen to enjoy reading a lot.
"Jayjay, what's your next class?" Carla asks me as she walks alongside Chenle, who is still enthusiastically telling us about each of the teacher's scandalous backgrounds and which of them irritates him the most.
"History." I responded grinning. "What about you?"
Xia whined beside me, waving her arms wildly. "Ugh, I just had to do math first thing in the morning!"
"Well, looks like we're in the same class, babe," Haechan smirked as he appeared beside her.
Carla, Jisung, and Mark apparently have geometry, Haechan, Xia, and Jeno have math, Chenle has chemistry, Renjun has business studies, and I have history.
I sighed as I realized I'd be in a room full of people I'd never met before.
"Uh..has anyone heard from Jaemin?" Renjun muttered as he checked his phone.
At this, I scrunched up my brows. Now that I think of it, the guy wasn't at the welcoming event earlier, either...
The boys exchanged a look.
"I'm sure he's fine...he probably overslept because he came home last night as usual." Mark responded quickly, shrugging as he noticed our enquiring stares.
Carla, being the inquisitive one, asked once more, "What's the deal with him? He can just show up late to school and get away with it?"
Jeno finally spoke up, raising his brows, "You haven't heard any rumors or anything about him at all, have you?"
At this, Xia, Carla, and I all shake our heads in unison.
Jisung sighed. "To put it simply, homeboy is rich. Powerful parents and school lets him get away with it."
Carla wrinkled her brow. "He sounds like a typical rich boy."
This made Haechan laugh. "I don't deny that he's a jerk." Before widening his eyes and accusingly staring at all of us. "But don't tell him I said that!"
"Anyways," he continued. "He has his reasons for how he is. He's a great friend, plus he can be nice when he wants to be, trust me. We all love him like our own brother. He even gave me a ride in his black Ferrari once!" He said the latter part proudly.
"He has a freaking ferrari?!?!?" I exclaimed.
"Yes, I know! Let me tell you, it was so fucking cool- "Haechan yelled enthusiastically.
"Here goes the car addicts." Carla mused, rolling her eyes.
"Oh shush," I scowled at her.
The bell finally rang before Haechan and I could have our car-bonding session, and we all groaned simultaneously.
"Well, I guess I'll see everyone in breaktime!" Chenle chirped excitedly as he waved us off and walked down the other hallway.
"Come and meet us at our lunch tables, my dudes!" Mark continued before leaving for his own class.
