The next morning as Kageyama was walking in the school gates of karasuno he noticed Hinata was limping a bit while walking to the gym.

He had a puzzled face before walking up to the smaller boy and asking him if he was alright. "Hehe I'm fine I just tripped earlier, silly" Hinata says with jazz hands and a closed eye smile.

"If you say so Boke" Kageyama walked away to the gym still thinking about what Hinata had said. Was he lying? Or was he telling the truth? Enough about that he had to concentrate, after all he did have a practice game against Nekoma later.....

Later during practice Daichi called everyone to tell them to prep since Nekoma would be there soon. "Don't worry we'll win for sure!" Hinata said as he jumped up in excitement ;however shortly after his face seemed to show a hint of pain as he landed on his feet.

"Oh? Hinata you okay there..?" Asked a worried Suga as he walked over to the small tangerine thinking about what could possibly be wrong. "Huh? Oh! Umm ya of course I'm fine!" "There's that smile again..." Thought Kageyama as he looked at the smaller boy.

Hmm...something was definitely wrong with him. But what? Kageyama wanted so badly to ask but his pride wouldn't let him! Maybe he could try to give hints that he's worried?! Nah Hinata wouldn't be smart enough to understand hints.

As Kageyama was deep in thought he suddenly got interrupted when the gym doors opened revealing none other than Nekoma. "KENMA! HI KENMA!" Hinata screamed from across the gym. Kenma looked over to see the smiling boy, "Hey Shoyo" Kenma gave a small side smile and waved.

As Kenma and Hinata were talking Kageyama noticed himself getting a bit jealous?! Was that the feeling?! No, it can't be! Meh it's probably nothing... Kageyama set the weird feeling side as he continued to stretch and warm up for the game.

In the middle of the game as Hinata landed from doing an epic spike he groaned in pain before Ukai called for a break. The boys gathered and started discussing. "Hey?! What happened out there???" Ukai questioned Hinata. Hinata only shrugged before talking , "Oh I don't know I think I hurt my foot a bit..? But it's alright because I can still play, heh"

Ukai nodded before Kageyama interrupted. "No you can't." "Why do YOU of all people care?!" The lil tangerine gave off sass for one of the first times that at least Ukai has seen.

"Because I say so." Kageyama scoffed before turning around and walking away. "GRRR YOU DON'T GET TO CONTROL ME! I'M PLAYING IN THE GAME AND THATS FINAL!" Hinata screams in rage.

"Umm actually Hinata I think Kageyama is right....maybe you should sit out this round." Suga says as Hinata shakes his head furiously. "Mhm ya no. Listen you guys I understand that you're worried for me but I'M FINEEEE a-okay! No need to worry so please, let me play."

Kageyama comes back and shoved Hinata against the wall. "LISTEN! YOU NEED TO TELL US THE TRUTH OKAY?!"
"NO I DON'T" "FINE THEN BE THAT WAY, HAVE FUN SITTING ON THE SIDE LINES."

"WAIT....Kageyama c-can we talk...?" The small boy shouted as he followed Kageyama outside shortly afterward. Once they were somewhere private Hinata opened his mouth to speak but then closed it not knowing what to say.

"Well?! Spit it out." Kageyama ordered as Hinata only nodded. "Uhh I'm sorry that I lied to you and the team it's just...I was afraid to say it" "Well it's only us two so say it already."

"W-well yesterday after you left me by myself some random guys came and beat me up to the point where I knocked out just so they could have my bike and money." Kageyama found himself growing angrier by the second until his expressions showed that he was boiling.

"B-but it's okay since I can still play!" The raven haired boy could see right through Hinata and could tell he was faking it all ;he didn't want to admit that he wasn't fine because he doesn't like asking for help. That's just the kind of boy Hinata was....
