The mystery of los Santos

The gang was silent as they rode the plane to Los Santos, Shaggy and Scooby-doo were looking out of the window of the plane and were lost in thought. Velma, Daphne, and Fred looked at Shaggy and Scooby in concern, they haven't said a word since they heard the news. "Oh man, I feel bad for the guys. I mean losing a person who seemed close to them is just heartbreaking," Daphne whispered to both Fred and Velma. "Yeah it is heartbreaking, Maria was like a mom to the both of us," Shaggy said, his voice and eyes both devoid of emotion, as he looked away from the window and at Fred, Velma, and Daphne. 

Velma took the initiative and asked the question that was on all of their minds for the last few days, "If you guys don't mind me asking, who was Maria." Shaggy smiled at them and started to talk about the woman who made him smile when he was down, "Maria was actually the one who gave me old Scoob here," he said as he patted Scooby-doo's head "She was the kindest woman we have both met. She helped me and some other kids with homework before I moved to Coolsville, I remember going to her house on the weekends and spending almost all day over there playing and learning some things. It tore both me and Scoob apart when we had to move from not only her but also some of the friends that we made." Shaggy had said as he remembered the good times with his mentor and part-time mother. "She sounds like a wonderful woman Shag," Fred said with a small smile. "Yeah, she was," Shaggy said, his voice full of sadness, and the smile that was on his face was replaced with a frown. Before the trio could even say anything else to the mourning pair a voice had called over the speaker of the plane "Ladies and Gentlemen we are about land in Los Santos."

The gang got off of the plane and immediately saw a man waiting at the gate with a sign that said 'Shaggy and Scooby-doo' the man was a little chubby wearing a green shirt, jeans that were a little baggy, and he had a black goatee mustache combo. Scooby perked up when he saw the man and started to run towards the man. "Rogla! Rogla!" Scooby then pounced on the man who paid scooby a fraction of attention before he was attacked and licked on. The gang ran over to help get Scooby off of him, laughing Shaggy commented to the man who was on the floor of the terminal dazed and covered in dog slobber. "Haha like man David I thought you would have caught Scoob from how he was running at you."

The man, who was now identified as David, got out of his daze and smirked at Shaggy his eyes filled with mischief. "Well excuse me for not seeing 175 lbs dog running at me like a bullet train." Laughing Shaggy outstretched his arm for David to grab on to, David grabbed his hand and he was hoisted up to his feet, not letting go of the hand he started to shake it with a warm but sad filled smile on his face. "It's good to see you guys again. I was hoping to see you two sometime in the future but not like this," David said his eyes and voice filled with sadness. Shaggy caught on and smiled a mournful smile "Yeah I wish so too." Scooby whined at what the two men were hinting at and wished things were different.

The rest of the gang stood back and let those three have their moment before they made their presence known. It was at that time David looked over and saw the trio standing a bit back to give the two men and dog some space. "Oh, uh sorry for ignoring you guys," David let go of shaggy's hand before he cleared his throat and introduced himself "Uh hello, my name is David Nagle but my friends like to call me Nogla. I didn't know you were bringing your friends over, guys." The statement was aimed more towards Shaggy and Scooby "Hahaha, yeah they wanted to come with us so we could have some support on our way here." Shaggy smiled sheepishly at Nogla, "Any way like what are you doing here man, I thought we would see you at the...." Shaggy stopped abruptly at what he was about to say next, his eyes filled with sadness once more. Nogla seeing this decided to speak up before Shaggy gets into his head more, "That was the plan, but the other guys wanted to see you two and go over old memories." 

"That sounds like a great idea, why don't you two go and we might go see what's around here," said Fred, smiling but it soon turned into a frown of confusion as Nogla shook his head "Actually I was wondering if you three could come with us. I know these two will need all the support they could get, especially since we're going over to her old house for nostalgia reasons. If that's alright with you all that is?" The trio looked at each other and nodded, seeing no harm in going and comforting their friends. Shaggy and Scooby nodded in appreciation and then the gang walked off to get their bags and find the car.
