It roamed the earth looking for its missing piece, wherever it was, the piece was looking for it too. It's body was littered with trash and debris from forests. It's open chest held the screams of fresh souls which died down after minutes. The planet was overrun with trees and animals searching to survive, yet staying away from it. In the deep depths of what you'd call the heart of the creature, the souls of humans rested. Every male, female, and child were inside it's chest. Such a powerful force overtook the human race and in turn, the animals returned to what was their new homes.

I remember clearly how it started, I was it's first victim. Of course, within it's power, came the hallucinations. Always believe them, for it makes up your life right now. From birth to death. Everything you ever knew was a cover up to the true story, the one I watched in fear.

It was a bright day with my friends, Jeremy, Sofie, and Kevin. Keep Kevin in your mind for now, for that is it's true name. The four of us went to the woods, the light became dimmer and dimmer until the moon rose up. The trail went on for miles as the wolves and wind howled loudly.

"Kevin, are you sure we can't go back? Our parents are looking for us. "

"Don't be a baby, Jeremy. [REDACTED] and Sofie are fine."

But Sofie was gone. Kevin's chest ripped open as he screamed out and fell over in pain.

"Help me, call someone, please! "

I had checked my phone, but there was no service. My heart dropped as I saw Kevin lifeless.

"Kevin! " I screamed out and ran towards him.

He awoke in a panic as he checked the inside of his chest. Organs were missing in many places, but one filled him with worry, his heart.

"[REDACTED], Stay back. I'll hurt you. "

"Sofie, Jeremy, run. Go far far away, tell your parents to move! "

They did, and I was glad. Kevin shrieked as he raised me into the air, his hands wrapped around my neck. I couldn't breathe, he really was going insane. But his hands felt cold and stiff, almost like a corpse. Forced onto the ground, a deep growl was heard as it transformed my best friend into a monster. A quick movement and I felt my head seperate from my body. I was in a new setting, I saw him rip my stomach open and piece my organs into his, ignoring the ones he didn't need. He took out my heart, examining it before crushing it in his palm, then I was somewhere else. It was so familiar... Like I was here when I was younger. The hospital, I was now born into my life. Now i know why it was familiar.
