The dinner party ended at 11pm, and all the trainees scrambled back to their dorms. I was so out of it. Someone links arms with me, and it's Phoebe. "Are you okay? You look confused..." "Haha, I'm fine. Just tired," I lie. Before I go to bed, I ended up taking a shower because the smell of the cocktail was still there. I remove my makeup and get into the shower. Did.. did Chanyeol just kiss me?.. I didn't know how to feel. Today was the first day I saw him in person, and he kissed me? He was so drunk, I just know. I shake the the thought out of my head, and finish showering. I lay in bed, so tired that I was unable to think about anything else. Soon enough, my alarm clock rang.
At 9:00am, Michelle and I go to our vocal classes. Us two, and a few others attended the class. Our vocal teacher, Song Minah, welcome us in. We sit on the seats and we go through our daily vocal warmups. While I do my exercised, all I can think of is last night. The kiss. What he said. It was all still not in my brain. And I hear someone calling my name? "Kayla. Kayla! KAYLA!" I snap back to reality. Teacher Song snaps at me. "Kayla! Please pay attention! This is important news!" I apologize. Teacher Song continues. "Anyways, as I was saying, we will be having some audience today. We will be having some members of Exo come and watch you, and give you guys feedback." A bunch of girls squeal. I pray. Please not Chanyeol, please not Chanyeol. "Girls, zip it!" As I was saying, today, Chen, Baekhyun, D.O will be coming. Yes! He's not coming! Teacher Song continues. "Oh yes, and Chanyeol." DARN IT! I shake my head in disapproval. "Kayla, do you have any disagreements with that? Why are you shaking your head?", asks Michelle. "Huh? Oh, nothing, I'm fine."
10 minutes later, the 4 members arrive. The girls obviously don't contain their feels, including Michelle and Phoebe. I put my head down, trying to avoid contact with them, especially Chanyeol. "We are One! Hello, we are Exo!", they 4 boys introduce themselves. Teacher Song explains that we were going to each individually sing songs, and the members would give us feedback. It was for practicing confidence. UGH. We went in order, and thankfully, I was last in the line. I decided to sing Star by Kim Ah Joong. I clear my throat, and start singing. "Wait wait wait. Kayla, is there a $100 bill on the floor? Stop looking down, and look at the audience please." This cannot get any worse! I slowly lift up my head. And Chanyeol and I make eye contact again. But something felt weird this time. I sang my song, and Teacher Song looked impressed. I quickly put my head back down. The members gave feedback to everyone, and finally, it was my turn. "That was really great! Just try to have a bit more confidence next time," said most of them. Then Chanyeol came. "That was really great! Your name was?.."
Wait what?... "Uhm.. uhm.." I think to myself. Wait, he remembered my name yesterday. But he doesn't now? Then what about the kiss? Does he remember that? "Hello?", says Chanyeol. "OH. Kiss! NO WAIT, I mean, my name is Kayla!" I say flustered. I feel like wanting to melt into the floor with embarassment. He chuckles. "Well, Kayla. That was really good," he says warmly. I slightly smile. We continued to do our classes, and all I could think was about him asking me what my name was. Does he really not remember because he was drunk? Then the kiss.. He probably doesn't remember that either! That's great! But in the back of my mind, I felt a bit upset. Maybe I thought that we had some sort of a connection last night? NO! Kayla, no! You're a trainee. Trainee dating an idol is horrible. Never. I arrived back at my dorm exhausted. I had practiced for 10 hours straight. I open the dorm room when a note slips out. I look around and open it. My eyes open wide in shock. The note reads: I remember last night. -PCY.
