𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 4 - 𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔

✨ Flashback ✨

Gabriel's POV:

It has been one week since Nathalie has quit working for me, I feel bad because of it but I need to keep going on with my plan with or without her help.

This week I haven't akumised anyone, I didn't feel like it.

Nathalie is obviously not the reason for it.

She's definitely not.

No.

I shake my head trying to stay calm, it's not because of her quitting, I don't care about it.

I have to go back working for taking those miraculous from Ladybug and Chat Noir.

I learnt about other powerful miraculous hidden somewhere in China, I need to go there and take them.

I had immediately booked a flight and I'm going to leave this evening, maybe this adventure is going to make me stop thinking about Nathalie for good.

"Are you sure you want to go there master?" Nooroo asks me.

"I'm sure"

"But it could be dangerous for you adventuring all alone through the mountains"

"What should I do? I need those miraculous and I just can't bring someone with me"

"Yeah but I don't think it's a good idea master"

I turn myself away from the kwami, I don't care about what he thinks, I need my wife back. 

Adrien's POV:

I am sitting at the dining room's table taking a last look at all my unfinished homework.

"Adrien, I need to talk to you" I hear my father's voice from behind me.

"What is it father?"

"I'm going to leave for a business trip tonight, you are going to stay here alone for a couple of days"

"It's not like you aren't used to it" I hear Plagg whispering from inside my pocket.

I give him a little slap.

"Ok father"

He nods and walks away.

"Shut up Plagg"

"What? It's the truth"

I roll my eyes as I finish my work and then I go to sleep.

"What do you think your father is going to do?" Plagg starts whispering as I settled myself in bed.

"I don't know and now let me sleep"

"Is it going to be dangerous?"

"Don't be silly, it's just a business trip"

Plagg sits on the pillows next to my head. 

"I don't know I have a gut feeling..."

"Plagg just let me sleep"

I try to act annoyed but I must say I have a strange feeling as well and the fact that even Plagg feels the same makes me nervous.

My father isn't used to travel in this period of the year and besides that I think he acts pretty weird since Nathalie left him.

I kept telling her he was fine because that's how he looked to me but I feel like he's a bit different, I think he misses Nathalie a lot.

Just as much as I miss her.

Gabriel's POV:

"My plane has arrived, we have to go" I open my jacket to let Nooroo flying into my pocket.

"Are you really sure it's the right thing to do?" he asks me again.

"Yes Nooroo it is"

"It's just that I heard some voices about that place and I don't think it's safe"

I turn my head to look at the kwami.

"What voices?"

"Well, they say that those places are protected by a spell"

"What kind of spell?"

"I don't know but apparently it's horrible, please don't go master"

I chuckle.

"I'm not afraid Nooroo, you are with me after all"

The kwami stares at me with a strange look on his face, I can see he's scared and to be honest I am too but what can I do? I can't stop now.

"Don't worry I will figure this out and now let's go"

Nooroo flies into my pocket and I carry my baggages outside of my house and into the taxi.

I give a last look at my mansion and then I leave for the airport.

Adrien's POV:

I'm really scared for my father, he should have been back after two days and it had been one whole week.

"Why haven't you told Nathalie about this earlier?" Plagg asks.

"Because I didn't want her to be worried about us anymore"

She had said she wanted to quit working for my father so she didn't need come back here only to be worried about him.

"And what made you change your mind?"

"It's just, I can't stand being alone and worried anymore Plagg!" I confess.

I had already called the authorities but it seems they haven't found him yet.

It's crazy! Where did he go?

I sit on my couch looking at my phone hoping for someone to call me.

"You should relax, I can offer you some of my cheese if you want" Plagg says.

Offer me some of his cheese? That's a lot from him.

"Plagg I think you don't realise how bad this situation is for me" I say.

I get up from my seat.

"I need to take a shower, call me when you see any kind of message"

As I was about to walk out of the room Plagg calls me.

"I think you have news"

I don't think I have ever run faster than this in my whole life.

I take my phone to read the messages.

"They found him" I say.
