𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 7 - 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑜𝑛

Nathalie's POV:

I wake up very well rested and I look at Gabriel still asleep next to me, his expression is relaxed and peaceful now.

I lay him down on the couch and I cover him with the blanket I didn't remember getting and then I walk to the dining room to find Adrien sitting at the table.

"Hello Nathalie" he smirks.

"Adrien? What are you doing at home this early?"

"It's not early, it's lunch time"

"What?"

We slept for a lot of time.

I try not to show Adrien my agitation, if he went home earlier he certainly spotted me and Gabriel sleeping together.

"How is father doing?"

"Better"

I lie but I don't want Adrien to be too worried.

"Good!" the boy smiles.

I smile at him.

"What are you two planning to do today?"

I freeze, I don't really know what to tell him.

Why should we do something together?

"I don't know, I guess I will have to wait for your father to wake up"

Adrien gives me a smirk.

"I think we won't need to wait too long for it"

I turn around to see Gabriel standing by the door looking at us in confusion.

"Did you call her?"

Adrien smiles at him.

"Yes father"

"Why?"

"Because she's the only one who can make you feel better and I know it"

Gabriel stares at me and I start to be nervous.

Oh no, he's going to kick me out.

Gabriel just walks away.

Gabriel's POV:

She's the only one who can make me feel better.

I guess Adrien isn't wrong after all, I love when Nathalie is with me, she makes me feel calm and safe. 

I love the fact that she's here now but I don't like how she keeps asking me what happened, I wish she could just stop.

"Gabriel" she calls from behind me.

I like when she calls me by my name and not just "sir".

"What?"

I'm ready for her to ask me the same question again.

"Would you like to go out this evening?"

What?

"Excuse me?"

"Go out with me, I think it will help you relax"

I look at her cheeks turning red.

What's wrong with her now?

"All right"

What's wrong with me now?

I don't really like going out so why did I say yes?

"Ok then" Nathalie smiled.

I love when she smiles, it helps me forget about all the bad things.

* Time skip to that evening*

Gabriel's POV:

I still can't believe I agreed going out with my assistant, well... my ex assistant.

There's something about her which just can't let me say "no" so here I am dressing up.

I reach the door and see Nathalie waiting for me with a soft smile on her face.

"Are you ready Gabriel?"

"Yes"

I slowly stretch my hand to grab hers, she accepts it and we exit the house.

"It's a wonderful night don't you think?"

I nod.

"We can see the stars too"

She points at the sky, the clean air shows us a lot of stars.

I nod again.

"I think it would be so much nicer if you just said some words instead of just nodding..." she sounds a bit disappointed.

"I don't have anything to say"

"You have"

"I told you I don't want to talk about it"

"But I can help you feeling better if you do"

"Just ignore it... I'm fine"

You don't need to move on, you should stay with me and me only.

No, not again.

"I'm sorry Nathalie I have to go"

I let her hand go and I start to run, I don't really care where, I just need to be as far as possible from her.

Nathalie's POV:

I watch him running away from me, I don't know what's happening to him but I am determined to make it stop.

I follow Gabriel until I see him sitting on a bench.

I carefully approach him.

"Leave me alone..."

"No" I say sitting next to him.

He is about to say something but he stay silent so I put my hand on his shoulder.

He shifts a little but he lets me do it.

"You shouldn't keep everything inside like that, I want to know everything that happened to you during the past two weeks you understand?"

I didn't mean to sound harsh but I'm really worried about him and I just wish he could talk to me already.

He looks at me, I can feel there's a huge battle inside him, it almost looks as he doesn't know if he can trust me or not.

I take his hand into mine and I squeeze it.

"You know you can trust me Gabriel"

"All right, you won"

It was about time.

"Do you prefer going home?"

"Yes please"

I take his hand and together we walk back home.
