The power of light had once again taken its throne within Natanstrelle.
Through Illuminare-Trabem's words, the darkness melted from all walls. Shadows retreated from every street within Central City and its surrounding villages. Dark magic fled from every nook and cranny amongst the trees within Natanstrelle's forests - Night and Strelle.
Beautiful sparks of light rose into the air, like floating stars into the sky, banished the dark clouds and left a glistening sapphire glow in their stead. This glow reflected off the land's lakes and blessed the surrounding valleys. All plants and creatures rejoiced in the hope and peace that flourished upon the land once again.
Natanstrelle was back to its former glory.
Also, stood on the edge of Eartem, was Lux Palace; fully restored by light magic. The stained-glass windows threw patterns upon its white and gold walls. The golden furniture glistened again but the upholstery was no longer coloured red and deep purple, instead they resembled their new owners with sapphire and violet.
Changes to the palace were made by Illuminare-Trabem himself, blessing the new Royal family. The palace would no longer bear the name of Lux, Natanstrelleans now called it Astrid Palace.
Astrid and True watched the remaining, weakened shadows return to a darkened cave. Eerie, howling winds echoed amongst its damp walls, and a distant dripping sound broke its way through. It reminded Astrid of a time when she was bound by Noir Astra's power.
Her gaze fell to the floor. Lying around her feet, were a great number of dead bodies. The shadows rested upon them, before disappearing entirely. Astrid knew that these bodies belonged to those she saw bowing to Pugnum all those years ago- when she escaped his clutches.
Every one of the Natanstrellean civilians that fell victim to Noir Astra's smoky coils were now empty shells.
This harsh reality clawed at Astrid's mind and constricted her breathing. She tore herself away from True. He was holding his light orb against her forehead, whilst his right hand hovered over the Trabem pool's waters. He hurriedly returned the orb to his pouch and hugged his arms around his wife's shoulders.
Tears spilled from her white, blind eyes.
"Why did you show me this?" Astrid asked the new Royal advisor that stood at the opposite side of the Trabem Pool.
"Astrid, you are the Queen and must know the truth about all the land under your rule," Luchinda answered, wisely, but regretfully.
"They're all gone..." Astrid's lips trembled as she spoke. "Noir Astra spared none of them!"
"The darkness knew no mercy..." Luchinda declared, sombrely.
"No, the darkness was soulless, inhumane!" True added and instinctively squeezed Astrid tighter.
Anger sparked within her as she broke away from her husband's hold.
"I never want to see that place again!" Astrid snapped and violently shook her head. "Not even in my mind!" She racked her brain for a quick solution to the troubles that plagued her thoughts. "The entrance to that haunted place must be blocked! No one must ever go near it! I want that place marked!" She let out a sigh, then addressed her aunt, "Luchinda, what is the ancient spell that I can use to do this sufficiently?"
