Well, you wanted a chapter, so here it is. You, my dearest friend, were perfect. Yes, I said were, not are.

You were everything I wanted you to be; smart, funny, caring... but to a fault.

You held back information when it was necessary for you to share it and you never listened when I said "no."

No, you can't touch me there.
No, I don't like it when you do that.
No, my mom isn't home.

It didn't matter what it was, you just didn't listen.

But, all that aside, you helped me through one of the darkest times of my life. I was so convinced that I would never date again, but you tore down that barrier and we worked through it. You saw me vulnerable and kissed my hand when I couldn't express how I felt.

You filled me with promises and 'I love you's, and I was too naïve not to believe them. You told me you would never leave me and you still did.

You gave amazing hugs and I will forever miss those. You were everything I wanted you to be... until you turned into a mirror of everything I was afraid of.
