The time was now 11:00, and the sound of the Hogwarts Express setting off had awoken Aurora from her much-needed rest. The moment her eyes opened, a smile broke across her face as her two best friends entered her carriage. However, the smile soon faded slightly when she saw the serious expression on their faces.

"Aurora, listen to me," Lucas began, his tone grave. "You can't afford to do anything stupid this year. Your dad's on the loose, and if he sees you, he won't hesitate to kill you."

Aurora rolled her eyes, but deep down she knew that Lucky was right. She had to be careful this year, and she couldn't let her guard down for even a moment while she wasn't at school.

"lucky when have i ever done anything stupid?" Aurora asked lucas who just stared at her.

"even i know the answer to this one rora." toby replied.

Aurora stared at him before saying "okay then tobias-" Aurora was cut off by a death glare from toby. "ok, toby- not tobias- if your so clever..elaborate to me how anything i do, is stupid."

"i wouldn't exactly call planting a stink bomb in snapes office smart." toby told her.

Aurora looked at toby "you literally helped me do that!" she exclaimed, smiling at his hipocricy.

"Stop trying to change the subject, you could actually die!" Lucas yelled at Aurora, worried for her safety. The two cousins shared a glance before apologizing to Luke, promising they wouldn't try to do anything stupid enough to help Sirius Black find Aurora.

Three hours had passed since that conversation. The compartment was littered with chocolate frog wrappers, a half-eaten one on the seat next to the girl who was asleep on her cousin's shoulder. Toby was also asleep, his head leaning on the window. The only one in the compartment who was awake was Lucky, and he was reading a book.

The train went over bridges and through tons of fields. The journey between King's Cross and Hogwarts was almost unbearable to stay awake through. Aurora, Toby, and Lucas could hardly sit still for half an hour, never mind sit on a train for six and a half hours.

All of a sudden, the loud noise of the train stopping rang across the compartment. Lucas, confused as to what was happening, woke his best friends up from their nap.

"The train has stopped, but we're not at the school, and I think someone has got on the train," the boy whispered, anxiety taking over his voice, causing him to stutter.

"Wait, what?" Aurora asked loudly, standing and looking around outside of the compartment, hand on her wand.

As Rory looked around, the lights on the train flickered madly until they eventually shut off. Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream rang down the train. With the slam of a door and a click of a lock, Aurora froze, holding her wand up at the door, ready to attack anyone who came into the compartment.

Toby and Lucas helped the girl sit down on one of the seats and told her everything was going to be okay, and nothing was going to hurt her, even though they were also grabbing their wands. All three of the children in the compartment were shaking from the cold and fear when a skeletal hand began to open the door.
