We were about to finish the job. It really wasn't difficult at all to agree with him. We work in silence all afternoon. When we finished it it was already night and I think we were so immersed in the work that we did not realize that it started to rain very hard and there was even lightning. He couldn't walk home he was definitely in trouble.

I took my cell phone to see if the rain was going to stop but I realized that the battery had run out. I cursed myself internally in that instant.

-It seems that the rain is not going to end soon- Connor mentioned showing me the screen of his cell phone with the weather for the next few hours.

-ahhh- I sigh defeated this was a problem.

-You can stay here if you want- said Connor

-really? Am I not a bother? -I questioned him

I put on my pajamas and went to change to the bathroom. When I came out I went to his room.

In his room there was an inflatable mattress on the floor next to his bed.

-You will stay in the bed, I will stay on the mattress- he said pointing to the bed

-Well uhh thanks- I went to sit on the bed while checking my cell phone since I had sent a message to my mother to inform her of the situation.

Half an hour had passed and we were in bed. With the sound of the rain in the background. I still couldn't sleep for some unknown reason. I looked at him to see if he was already asleep or still awake. I found him awake so I took the opportunity to thank him.

-Connor I wanted to thank you for letting me stay here- I said in a whisper

-Ahh, it's nothing, nor was I going to let you out with this rain- he answered in a sleepy voice -go to sleep now.- Sure tomorrow there will be a good day.

-Sure, rest- I said the last thing in a whisper and just lay down on the bed. I stared at his sleeping face, he looked so calm it seemed he was cold so I went over to put another blanket on him. I went back to bed and just fell asleep.

Something with a good smell woke me up. My stomach roared with hunger. At that moment I got up and remembered that I had spent the night at Connor's. When I looked at the floor where Connor was supposed to be sleeping, he wasn't there. I stood up and changed into the clothes I was wearing yesterday. I was looking for Connor when I found him in the kitchen serving breakfast at the table.

-Good morning, Connor- I said with the intention of getting his attention.

-Oh, you woke up.Good morning come I made breakfast- Said the tallest from the dining room

I went to sit with at the table. I tried the breakfast, they were delicious waffles I was a bit surprised by their culinary skills.

-Did you like it? - Asked Connor

-Yes! - I exclaimed-It tastes delicious, you cook very well, how do you do it? I burn everything I try to cook-I said with a smile

- Why? you already have a girlfriend? I asked with sudden interest

We finished breakfast and I realized it was time to go home. He accompanied me because he said he had something to do and that my house was on the way. The way to my house was uneventful.
