I ran to the police department as soon as I got dressed and left the house, with a waterfall of tears falling down my face. I tried to stop crying so that when I saw a police officer, I could talk to him loud enough so he could hear me.

"Excuse me, Officer?"

"Yes."

"I wanted to ask if I could help with the murder case for Elizabeth Lynn..."

"Really, I don't know. How close were you to her?"

"I mean, I went to the same school as her, if that helps."

The police officer looked at me in a dreadful way and walked away for a second. He went to go talk to the other officers. I saw them whispering about something. I was looking around. It looked so empty and big, like a mansion.

The police officer was walking back to me with a couple of other officers. I froze, feeling very worried. I was chanting to myself softly that they would say yes to help them with the case.

"Sure, I guess you could help us with the case."

All of the police officers started walking to their cars. I was following the police officer that I was talking to before. We sat in the car. The police officers were in a line, red, white, and blue lights flashing. Sirens screaming as loud as a diesel horn.
