An Unforgettable Vow

"But Tom we can get in a lot of trouble, so I'm going to add something to this promise" Sawyer said gripping tightly to Tom's forearm "when we're older we're gonna run away! Away from everyone and we'll live a good life with no worries of anything!" Sawyer exclaimed.

Narrator View:

Some months passed by but the two would get into arguments here and there although they would mostly be about muggles and Salazar Slytherin's work as one of the founders of Hogwarts. In the end they would make up and start talking about random stuff that amuses them.

Before the holiday break Tom and Sawyer were outside laying down on the snowy cold ground.

"Hey Tom?" said Sawyer turning her head to face Toms "what do you want to do when you're older? I know it's a weird question but im curious" Sawyer asked.

"I don't know, maybe work for the ministry of magic" Tom answered facing the sky as snow fell on him slowly and softly "what about you?" he questioned looking back at Sawyer, at this point their eyes were looking deep into each others soul.

"Well I dont really have a choice, so I'll just do whatever my parents want me to do" Sawyer said looking back at the sky while Tom stares at her deeply.

"That's absurd!" Tom exclaimed sitting back upwards "Why should you follow the steps of your parents?" he questioned

"Well Tom its not that easy, I dont have a choice" Sawyer answered as she also sat back upwards

"I'm tired of adults telling us what to do, give me your hand." Tom said as Sawyer grew confused and concerned

"What for?" Sawyer asked

"Sawyer just give it to me.." Tom said slightly begging her for it, Sawyer agreed and gave him her hand. As he took it he reached for her forearm. "Sawyer lets make a deal," he said with a serious look "when we're older we're not gonna follow other peoples orders"

"But Tom we can get in a lot of trouble, so I'm going to add something to this promise" Sawyer said gripping tightly to Toms forearm "when we get older we're gonna run away! Away from everyone and we'll live a good life with no worries of anything!" Sawyer exclaimed.

"Sawyer I'm serious about this" Tom said with a frustrated look

"As well as I"

"Fine, consider this as the Unbreakable Vow but not actually" Tom said letting go of Sawyer's forearm "lets just head back, im cold"

"alright then" Sawyer said

Sawyer was in her dormitory staring at the ceiling as her four friends Bexley Sallow, Lilith Dankworth, Pandora Quinn, and Yanet Slora packed their stuff for the holiday break.

"Hey Sawyer aren't you going to pack?" asked Pandora

"oh I'm spending the holidays here, at Hogwarts" Sawyer explained as she sat forward against the back of her bed "mum and dad would probably like that" she said as her small smile left her face.

"oh" Pandora said quietly "Sawyer I- I'm so sorry"

"no no no its alright! I dont mind" Sawyer exclaimed "but why are you guys packing now? the train leaves tomorrow.." Sawyer questioned

"well just in case you know?" Yanet answered

Sawyer shrugged and laid back down to stare at the ceiling but this time she had a bigger smile than before, her four friends looked at each other and threw pillows at her as a joke.

"Hey! What gives?!" Sawyer yelled laughing

"Why do you have a even bigger smile than before? what are you thinking about? ;)" questioned Lilith

"I bet shes thinking about that Tom Riddle guy from our house" Bexley said "earlier I saw them holding hands" Bexley added as she let out a bigger laugh.

"Hey that didn't mean anything! It was just a stupid vow!" Sawyer yelled

"Sure Sawyer, I'm pretty sure that its clear that you like the boy, you dont have to hide it! We're your friends" Bexley explained

   "Maybe I do maybe I dont I dont know" Sawyer answered

   "Its alright Sawyer, but if you do like him and he breaks your heart we'll beat him up!" Pandora said foolishly

"Hey you guys! We've got to go eat dinner!" Yanet said looking at the time.

"Oh thats right! Cmon everyone we'll all sit together, consider it our last feast of the year together" Pandora explained

All the girls followed Pandora except for Sawyer, she just stayed in the common room like she was waiting for someone (possibly Tom)

"Sawyer?" a voice reached out

"Oh hey Tom, the girls already left for the feast and I figured I'd wait for you" said Sawyer

"You didn't have to though, I'm fine by myself" Tom replied quite rudely

"alright I guess, I'll see you there" Sawyer said walking out of the Slytherin common room
