About Alvin Burns

I just wanted to talk about this character and where I drew inspiration from for Alvin Burns. If you can recall one of his first kills that's seemed random and was at what I believe was a school was a dream I had. Then I was like "that's a good book idea". I had to give is character form. I always wanted something to play on the Walker's traumatizing experience. However I didn't want to bring back Dr. Nolan, well not yet anyway. Burns is an associate of Nolan but I guess I didn't explain how. I leave that to Burns later or I'll edit the chapter No he's not dead. I've planned his fate however.

So I drew part of Alvin's character from Hannibal Lecter in the NBC version of Hannibal.  I wanted Alvin to be quiet and nonchalant about it all but once he was triggered, he would deal with his rage and calm down again. He was never actually sexually attracted to Alex, however he was employed by Nolan to make sure he killed Walker for one and made him suffer while doing it.  Alvin is also a bit cynical in nature's and is controlling but calm. His eyes were always cold and strikes fear into his victims. He showed them what he was capable of so they wouldn't try to escape.  In fact, he was never interested in his own creations, he'd rather buy and sell. Alex's only purpose was to be a lure for Walker. Burns had taken info from Nolan on Walker so he knew what would draw him in.

Burn's plan was exactly what he said. He'd make sure Walker would know Alex would suffer before he took his last breath. Burns would fiddle around with Alex some more and then give her back to Victor LaRue in doll form or however he wanted. I very adamant of making Burns the opposite of LaRue cause that guy is psycho after all.  Burns is a different kind of psycho.

His story is also drawn from "Welcome to the Game II"s Dollmaker articles. I decided to spare you the exact details but it's not my business if you look it up. Be scarred for life then.

I also take a lot of inspiration from Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. In particular I enjoyed the William Lewis storyline. It's more loosely based now but will be more later on.

Alvin is like 45 but looks quite suave for his age. He's slightly balding but overall handsome. His townhouse is quite lavish which he pays for with his secret job. He's retired a retired surgeon after all who got greedy when he discovered the dark web. Science was something he enjoyed and seeing what the human body could live with or without without until it couldn't live anymore. He wanted a turn at Walker as well considering Walker wasn't supposed to be alive with the conditions he had.

I don't really have anything else to say about Burns, if I do it's included in the story. Okay bye. I'll go back to writing Hidden in the Stars. Thanks for all the big love for it!
