Nya probably ended up killing it for him.

I speak on behalf of DASH (Defence Against Spider Haters) spiders will not harm you unless they feel they have to. If you have a harmless non-venomous spider in your house simply use whatever tools you have at hand to kindly bring it outside. Or just ignore it.

If you have a harmless yet venomous spider on your home then perhaps stay a nice ways from it and wear many pieces of clothing to cover every inch of your body before calling the people you call for that.

I mean, I'm not a professional or anything and I don't live in an area where any venomous spiders are so you may want more informed help.

Here's a few things from national geographic. I'd give you more but I have to do actual work before I spend to much time searching up spider information.
