California Life

"Everyone please fasten your seatbelt, we will be landing in less than 5 minutes."

We were finally in California and I couldn't wait until we got to see the house & the rest of the city!

"Brent, hey we are landing." I had to say to him because somehow he was still sleeping even though people were being really loud.

"I really can't wait until you guys get to see the house. I just know y'all will love it!" Aunt Lucy said.

"I know, I can't wait to see it either." I said back to her. Brent was still half asleep so he didn't really say anything.

Everyone got off the plan and heading to the baggage claim.

"Here's the plan," Lucy said, "We are all going to hurry and get the luggage down at the baggage claim, then we will head to the house!"

Well that woke Brent right up!

"YAY!" He yelled, and began walking super fast.

I could just tell by looking outside that I was going to love it here. The weather is nice, even though it was summer back in Atlanta, it was still pretty chili. But here it is so warm, and beautiful.

It took us about 30 minutes to get our bags, but when we were done we headed to the car. Which was actually a rental because Lucy had to leave her car back in Atlanta.

On the way to the house, Brent let me sit in the front and we were jamming out to Taylor Swift, 'Blank Space'.

At one point we passed the beach, and it was so gorgeous. I couldn't wait to go and swim there.

After about 20 minutes, we pulled into this giant drive way. It even had one of those fancy gates where you have to put in a pass word for it to open!

Once the gate opened, this huge neighborhood of fancy houses were hidden behind it. They were definitely the most wonderful houses I had ever seen.

She pulled up to one, which I had already seen and I was praying that that one was ours.

It was sort of a cream color, and it had a darker roof with a bunch of windows. And it was near a beach!

Me and Brent jumped out of the car and ran as fast as we could, and went inside.

It was even more amazing inside! Brent went upstairs but I was so amazed I just stood there.

"OOO OOO OO." I heard him scream, "I CALL THIS ROOM!"

"hey, no I get first dibs!" I said

"no, once you see the other room you will be happy he picked that one." Lucy whispered to me.

I went upstairs to see what she meant. And she was right, just passed his bedroom was this hallway and there was a room at the end of it.

It was huge, and perfect! I absolutely loved it.

I decided to go ahead and go get my bags, so I walked downstairs and went outside.

about the time I got out there I looked to my right and saw this guy. He looked about my age, tall, tan, and very very attractive!

I was trying not to stare but geez, he is cute! So I tried to be all casual, but of course because of my luck, this rock had to be right in the path of where I was walking. So I tripped.

I looked over to see if he saw, and as I looked he was running over to me!

"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" The boy asked really concerned.

"Yes, that stupid rock got me." i said and then we both laughed.

he helped me up. and his hands were rough like he had been working, but that still made him cute.

"Well, my name is Brandon and I live next door. Did you guys just move here?"

"Yeah, actually we just got here."

"Okay, cool. Well if you need anything me and my family are here to help!" He said. He is really sweet.

"Okay thanks! Talk to you again soon?" i said in a question form.

"yes! for sure." he replied and slowly turned and walked away.

Wow. we had been here less than an hour and I could tell I was going to love it.!
